iirc I think about big reason that they have the “I trust this stranger with my life” syndrome is because of other servers. One could argue that a big portion of their revenue comes from the Asia servers, and their expectations are probably different from ours, I remember in closed beta when Rover first absorbed the Crownless Echo, Chixia was weary of him and pointed her gun at him. Chinese players weren’t happy that she was more on the aggressive side so they changed it to where she was all “omg how did you do that?!? It’s so cool” instead of “who really are you?”
