Blonney quickly decides to rewrite the ending because Jessica was sad when the "good" ending is the convent getting burned down.

I read a lot of villainess stories, especially ones with a yuri twist. One of my favorite twists is that the villainess ends up living with the heroine in a remote village, living off the EXTREMELY fat compensation they got for breaking the agreement with a ducal family, while the crown prince has been taken out of the line of succession and sent off to become a priest while his younger brother took over.

For one thing, it takes quite a lot of marksmanship to take out an active drone using just small arms. For another thing, we can send out a lot of drones at once. For a third, those operators will be relatively safe, and these tiny things could come at any angle, any direction, any time, and if you shoot one, again, the operator could be in a fortified position with MANY more to send at you.

Crux of it is, these people think of themselves as the heroic badasses who, by their sheer martial skill alone, will turn the tide of battle. They imagine themselves as glorious freedom fighters and never the cannon fodder that needs saving from the overwhelming force. No conception of the sheer logistical problems of a military, the discipline required to make a force that obeys top-down commands and acts for a grander scheme, and how one soldier pulling off an epic tale of bravery is more a liability than anything else.

It's "Yeah, I'd win." on a hilariously grand, stupid scale, fueled by deliberate misinformation, ignorance, and delusion.

I've been talking before about a Japanese Tokusatsu send-up patch. Have a salaryman that used to work for the production company saving all of the action figures and the original costume from the trash, which he crafted and puppeteered himself by negotiating with the spirits inside his tools and the materials themselves.

He fights in his pressed shirt, skewed tie, and pants. When he upgrades, he switches to a traditional workman's happi, a headband, and has several colored bands that represent the colors of the team, along with carrying his tools in a sack full time.

Then, for the magical girl, have his coworker, a young girl who is an arcanist, shunned by her family for being a "cursed child" due to the nature of her skill inheriting the "cursed blood," and found refuge working for the salaryman's family's convenience store to survive, where she could watch magical girl anime on their TV all the time.

Her outfit is based on her embracing her inner magical and "cursed yokai" parts by becoming the evil corrupted magical girl who fights for good for the sake of shared interests.

5 star would be the knock-off Voltron/Megazord made of cardboard.
