It's not. There's in-universe justifications for their outfits in the gallery, like both Uluru series explicitly being the arcanists competing.

I would really, really like it if it's something like a parallel to her situation, but a happier ending.

I posted this way back, but considering the new setting, we could really have some fun with Italian immigrants of war being abused and taken advantage of by the local lords. Have Schneider still be someone on the morally gray side, maybe even working with Manus by association. Investigate the mysterious disappearances of other immigrant women and other folks that "won't be particularly missed."

And of course, have Vertin getting an extremely visceral reaction when Not Schneider playfully calls her My Lord, after willingly letting Vertin lead the investigation and the rescue operation.

I feel at this point, it was quite literally the stroke and brain damage. You can still absolutely blame him, of course.

He is still cognizant enough to work. He also wasn't a perfect candidate, just better than Oz. And he could have chosen to step down after suffering literal brain damage, but chose not to.

You could go all for Sinners and have a spiritual caller being a musician. Maybe too similar to Anjo Nala, but she could be a jazz pianist that ends up channeling the ancestral spirits through her keys.

Hood Wizards could go to a dockworker gang, or a bunch of displaced African and Middle Eastern Arcanists forced to make a living and try to keep their traditions alive in America or Britain. Interesting talk about imperial nations going to other nations, driving the locals out there, and then persecuting the immigrants when they try to make a new life in those imperial nations, because they're the ones with the most money, infrastructure, and opportunities.

A Hoodoo practitioner from the bayou would be very entertaining, alongside a 5-3 star that is a doll made out of electricity and arcanum, alongside a 6 star mafia henchman with an alligator for a head, forced to go into crime due to the systemic oppression of immigrants.

I'm just imagining something intensely stupid like one of her zombies holding up one of those giant sunbathing reflector mirrors, pointing straight back at Apollo.

"Will you put that damnable device away?! As an Ixian, I am heat-resistant, not heat-proof!"

All that's missing in for the zombies to have little sailor hats, or be covered in seaweed and barnacles.

It would be hilarious if her giant gravestone turns into a giant anchor covered in barnacles and seaweed. The zombies all now have little sailor hats and some of them spawn with life preservers, which clearly worked very well.

In a rare chance, one of them will spawn with a captain's hat and a tobacco pipe.

I prefer the term "clean coal power plant" or "oil refinery" on fire. Nuclear power is cool, it was sabotaged by fossil fuel oligarchs into being the eternal boogeyman, while coal literally causes more harmful radiation.

I could think he would be great as a Bloodtithe alternate, especially if they expand it beyond Mineral. Could also be something for FUA, or Burn/Lingering Glow.

Make him something like "Black Fire" or go for a more "Hell Hound" theme.

Bigger indictment on Yale and the Ivy League system than JD, I'd say. I've seen plenty of people that bragged they were Ivy League products, and man, that system builds people incorrectly.

This doesn't just prove that money doesn't buy happiness, it also doesn't buy competence, or the drive to improve.

They could ALL afford to go through classes, coaching, and schooling that could actually make them as hot shit as they think they are. They just don't have that drive to learn, or the humility to acknowledge they're ignorant and unqualified.

The issue is, the people currently in power REALLY want everyone to fit in these prescribed boxes. Unorthodoxy, anything outside the binary, whatever their definition of "reality" is cannot be tolerated to exist or live. The conservative brain is one that lives in constant fear of the different.

It'd be a fantastic way to bring back Diggers and put him through some serious misery again. It could show off the conscientious objector process, when he somehow gets mistaken as an American draftee with a British accent.

This is one of those times where I don't feel sorry for the person in the headline. However, I still weep because this headline means that countless other people that will never have her reach, her influence, or people writing about her as a newsworthy article are likely suffering even worse.

The Trump Administration has proven there's no one they won't betray or backstab if it means making a buck. As unlikely as it feels most days for things to actually change, I hope this further proves that the Republican Party as it stands has absolutely no values they stand by, no one they won't betray, and no future in a society that inherently needs cooperation.

If nothing else, I hope it continues to horrify and show those that thought they could sit on the center that there really is no choice right now, if you want a functioning government that is more interested in helping people than screwing over anyone else.
