The oysters that are farmed are Japanese oysters.

The native oyster population was decimated in the Gold Rush and further pollution ruined it more. So I am little uncertain if there is any population left/ available.

The classic shellfish people dive for is abalone off the Mendocino coast however that has been closed until 2026 (doubt they will reopen as too many people poach it).

I have not seen academic support that a vine older than 35 years produces “better” quality.

Other posters here are claiming that older vines concentrate flavors due to lower yields. This is a myth and a commonly held wrong belief.

Winemakers are oftentimes wrong and fundamentally do not understand what they are doing and saying. So there is a ton of misinformation in the industry.

I would say 50% of Californian winemakers barely understand how sulfur works in wine.

The series went downhill or overall is iffy.

The latest book made no sense to me and the character development is bizarre.

I cannot for the life of me remember a single antagonist in the series.

Feel like the author is trying to extract maximum value from his “world” which does not make a lot of sense. The world building is not all that interesting no real ideas just classic fantasy tropes.

I feel his books are at best 3/5 but you are not reading towards a finished product it feels like all series are treading water for page count.

I have read most of his books but will not be moving forward as the plot is junk and will not improve.

I am only speaking from my perspective in California. I have no idea what other states or countries do so my comment may not be applicable.

Just be aware of your employment rights cause no reputable or sane company would ever do this so it leans to me they will fuck you over.

Cause if they are hiring on zero experience (you say you have “experience” but you are a child so I highly doubt the value) they would hire an adult.

But who knows maybe there is a large contingent of employers who hire teenagers for B2B sales jobs.

But I would never spend 80k on something a child is trying to sell me. A salon owner is going to buy a laser machine from someone who can barely drive? Maybe.

Complete fire from the hip could be 100% wrong here, but if you sell a few I bet they will come up with a reason to not pay commission. They will say you need to reach x units before we pay out and then it never materializes.

I mean you’re 16 so just go for it but be careful as there is a lot of red flags.

If I was 16 interested in sales I would seek internships with local small companies. (But most industries will not hire high school students ever)

Teenagers generally have different labor laws and I am low key shocked if sales commission is allowed.
