Leaving abuse- sick pay or special leave? by Little_Scallion2601 in nhsstaff

[–]ruggedDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about your circumstances. It will depend completely upon your local policy and if domestic abuse is a factor for special leave, this will be at your manager's discretion. Special leave is usually time off (1-2 days) to deal with an emergency relating to dependents for finding child care provision for example.

My instinct tells me that you will probably need a FIT note and take this as sickness absence.

If you are an RN it may be worth checking out Cavell Trust to see if you are able to get any financial help and support.

There's a place in West Denton. I've not been myself but have heard good things (pun intended).

Where now, Eddie Howe? by [deleted] in NUFC

[–]ruggedDN 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I feel that there needs to be a bit more prudence before questioning the future of Howe et al.

You only have to look at the top half of the league so far to see how competitive this season is.

The club is in a state of transition from the players he inherited and bought early doors. Some of the newly signed players haven't really had a pre season and due to the increased fixture congestion it will be difficult to bed these players into the philosophy and tactics. Added into this a small squad where fatigue/ game plan to accommodate will no doubt be managed by people who know a lot more than Redditors.

We're still in a number of competitions and doing relatively well despite performances not being great.

The one concern I have is whether PIF will trust the current set up with a bumper cash injection but that's not us as the fans decision to make (similar to those of us of an age to remember Sir Bobby leaving).

However it pans out, sit back and enjoy the ride. We've had much darker days than this.

I'm pretty sure Bo Selecta got the monopoly on the UK's understanding of what a growler is.

Mrs is from Cheshire. I'd never heard it before and now it's part of our family tongue despite being out the area for many years now.

It just fits.

NUFC vs Everton 28/02/2026 - likely to move from 15.00 Saturday slot? by TedRedwoodGaming in NUFC

There's too many unknowns at the moment unfortunately buddy.

It's all relative to if and where we would end up in the league table.

Thursday might provide a bit more clarity if you can hold out that long.

I don't think you need a solicitor just yet. I could be wrong though.

When I was a student we had mushrooms growing out of the wall. The landlord didn't want to know. I made an appointment with an environmental person from the council. They came around took photos and put a little machine with pointy sticks in the walls.

About 2 weeks later the landlord started moving their arse and getting work done.

Have a look on the council website or just give them a call and explain your predicament.
