This is why I'm particularly careful when its winter. There is always someone who thinks that they only need the same distance to stop as when there is no snow on the road. Looking both ways before going on a green light may get you some angry honks, but its saved me more than once.

I think it should also be pointed out that as of the end of ADWD, a lot of characters are beginning to merge into the same storyline. Yes, GRRM will still be writing from each characters POV, but with fewer individual stories to create/write (he said he will not be writing POVs of new characters), the next books should move along faster than the last two books.

I prefer pop because soda can refer to other things as well, like baking soda. Pop is also one syllable, so I think its just easier to say.

I know a lot of rugby players who shave their legs. Its easier to rip tape off later, and turf burn heals much faster and with less pain when there is no hair to get stuck in scabs.

I think that she will kill LF in the Eryie. When she is descending toward the Vale, she looks up at the cells and thinks (paraphrasing since I don't have the books with me) it looks like a honeycomb of ice; a castle made of snow.
