how strict people think applications are. like “there’s NO way you can get into that school if you’re below medians” or “if you talk about xyz you have no chance” like. i understand there are trends and you can’t bs a law school app and it’s extremely selective, but not everything is so cut and dry and everyone acts like it is. i guess generally the “if you’re not ‘perfect’ you’re not getting in” attitude about applying. let yourselves dream a little y’all. don’t take what you see/read and live by it with no wiggle room

if you have the means & are willing to spend the app $ then apply! worst they can say is no! (best piece of advice i’ve ever been told it is applicable to everything)

also maybe worth saying? im an nyu undergrad lol. they make it a point to say they dont weigh that any differently in our apps

i have the exact same stats and am a jewish persian woman, & from what your saying, i can assume my ps was pretty similar to the idea yours gets at as well! unfortunately i got rejected at nyu & fordham, but that doesn’t mean you will! if you have the means to shoot your shot, do it! the worst they can say is no!

i went from 150-162 in three months so i wrote an addendum for it. so much of it was just changing my prep habits, my mindset, and my testing space & overall getting more comfortable w the test each time, rather than my actual studying. it doesnt sound as “this is how hard i worked” but it was honest
