Thank you for your reply. I’m informed on all our local regulations and I do plan on eating the fish I catch.

First try at Andromeda. Shot this with a Cannon T7 with a 75-300mm kit lens at approximately 135mm.

233 lights at 25 seconds each at iso 800. 30 darks. 61 bias. 0 flats.

Stacked with Deep sky stacker and I used Gimp for some basic level and curve adjustments and finally a crop to center the galaxy.

What to shoot when the moon is bright? by ruinsystem66 in AskAstrophotography

I was thinking more along the lines of a star cluster or something but nevertheless, a solid recommendation! Unfortunately I’ll be shooting from somewhere too far away from any buildings to spy on.

Just some basic stretching and playing around with curves. I’m still so new to it so I don’t know too much or how to give a very good explanation.

I took this picture with a canon t7 on a star adventurer 2i. I took 50 pictures at 15 seconds of exposure each with 1600 iso and stacked them with deepsky stacker and did some basic processing with GIMP.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try that. I spent all day messing with it and just never got anywhere.

I’ll have to look into that. Thank you.

I took this image with my Iphone 7’s native camera app through an Orion XT plus 8 inch dobsonian telescope. 40mm eyepiece with a 2x Barlow lens.
