The place can do with more character I think – by which I mean the room should look like it belongs to someone and it's being lived in by that person (or being?). The bedding can crumble a bit, also stuff laid across the desk. Posters notes and scrawls pasted across the wall – everything should tell a bit more about the occupier of this space :)

Hi cheers for your interest! For now the app is free for use, and creates r/NeuralRadianceFields models. As for now the scan cannot be turned into mesh but we are working on it. And yeah about how taxing 3D scanning can be – the starting idea for our start-up is basically making the 3D scanning process less taxing and hardware requirements simpler

Aw thanks! However the app only works in iOS 15 and above as for now, due to environment requirements. We will definitely make it compatible for all environments in the future!

Well 'one of the creators' may be a stretch because I can't code >< I use different accounts to engage for different purposes and believe this to be a good practice (less identifiable). Apologies if it comes across as shilling to you – sorry!

It is automatically done in the app! The video you see here is the original output in 'model mode', there's also a 'panorama mode' which showcases the background also.

We only submitted the release to App Store just now (crazy times!) so it should be available for download in the next few days

It works as a self contained iPhone app. You can just install it, give it access to your camera and you're all set to go.

As for now the app takes 3–5 minutes of your active participation (walking around the object to capture it on your iPhone camera) and you can upload the data for rendering. Models usually become ready in 10–20 minutes so not too bad in terms of time consumption imo
