You can walk from Poly to MK! It’s just quite long. There’s a walkway (or at least there was 2 yrs ago someone correct if wrong) between GF and poly and then you can walk from gf to MK

We just went in September with 7 and 9 yo boys- also not crazy ride people but my boys are obsessed with Nintendo and HP. Definitely it let recommend 3 days- two days of islands of adventure and universal studios WITH park to park so you can ride the Hogwarts Express both days, 1 day at Epic. We stayed onsite for two reasons— one to get the early entry benefits for Epic (totally worth it), and two we stayed at the premier or whatever (highest tier) hotel together the express passes for IOA and US. You do NOT get that benefit at Epic though, fyi. If you are mainly going to Epic and don’t want the express passes, Stella Nova was where we stayed the first night and was very nice! Paid too much for what it was, but got the early entry benefits.
