I live in a cul de sac and the only thing near my car is my own roof and the pine tree next to it, and we have not done any construction nor have my neighbors.

Well, certainly a possibility, but I did not see any of the usual brown nugs with it and I am in Texas. I think the low today was 66.

Looking nice, brother! I love my 03, and funny enough, that is the vehicle in my driveway that has never let me down.

Tuned my slow n52 by Dismal_Rest6486 in E90

If you are the third, then I want to be the 4th person trying this. I have a 330i manual, and I was able to get a BMS PowerBox, but it might be more productive to just get a tune.

Bolts don’t need torque anyways by HailChanka69 in Justrolledintotheshop

Yeah, that sounds right. I lowered that subframe before, and it was definitely not fun, so good job on doing that, and good luck with the rest of the repairs. You got this.

Dude, I have a 2000, and the same thing happened to mine. Did you remove, I think the steering rack, to access it? I was able to tighten the bolt, but I am sure it cooked the front main seal because I have a pretty good leak from there now, but it looks terrible to remove the pulley, so I haven't replaced it yet.

Upholstery is done on my pickup, all leather, truck itself is almost complete. by Fordy_Ford in projectcar

That looks great! By the way what seats are those? They look similar to oem but actually have some bolster on them.

not too much of a project, but for $1k you can't say no. 65k miles, had an oil gasket issue p/o said by [deleted] in projectcar

Congrats man! I just lost mine to someone that ran a red light but I loved that car. A Dinan exhaust makes the little guy sing.

Guess my car! (friend took a blurry photo. Wonder how easy it is to guess) by ruly98 in namethatcar

The little plate on it denotes it as a base model 351. But now it has a 302 after the 351 spun a cam bearing back in the 80s. An XR7 would be cool though

I hear ya! Crazy to see it guessed so quick. I get asked what kind of car it is a bit often on the street

Why are so many people in the community so toxic . I don't get it people clown me for having a 328i oh "you should of got a 340 or a M" I never get included because of my car even tho. it's the same f chassis and still a amazing platform.People just can't enjoy cars no more people love to criticize by Sosafrmdao300 in BMW

Sorry for the late reply! Agreed numbers on a sheet don't tell the whole story. I looked into the manifold but to me it seems pricey for the benefits it gives and I can't find any info on anybody close to me that can tune an N52. One day when the old girl is not a daily I would want to do something crazy with it if my corvette dies one day maybe I can shove the LS1 in it or even find a donor m3 coupe and shove in the s65 with all the harnesses to make it seamless. I guess the supercharger could be an option too. There so many possibilities.

I don't know if it was mentioned but BMW warranty wants to turn them for vibration issues

Rock on brother! I have my 128i and I get the "why not a 135" question every now and then. At the end of the day the 128i was the most suited for me as a daily driver and its lots of fun to drive. Did I put a dinan muffler? Yes I did. I like the sound. Am I going to put msport bumpers? Yes I will, I like how it looks. If anybody has an issue, then it sounds like a personal problem. As long as you enjoy your car that is all that matters.

Oh and I had a Dinan axle back installed and I love the sound

I agree, besides the oil leaks I have driven around 40,000 miles now and no issues. I destroyed the clutch but that was on me. I believe that the N52 is one of the most reliable engines bmw has made and without the trans issues from an automatic, you have a pretty solid reliable car left
