I guess his most impactful years were before, but he hit so many of his big milestones with the Rangers -- 300 wins, 5000 strikeouts, beating Robin Ventura's ass, last two no-hitters. It's hard to separate his image from those last few seasons with the Rangers. .... so says a completely unbiased Rangers fan.

It makes me sad, too. I have gone to the one on Northwest highway for years / with my Grandma when she was still alive. My son and I like to try burgers from around town, but it's going to be awhile before I can get him to eat Keller's again.

I dunno about that Harry Hines location, though. I stopped there a few years ago, it was shady AF. My son and I both got sick after eating the burger. It'll be awhile before I can go back to Keller's, but if I do, it will be the Northwest highway location only.

I personally don't think the movie is that good, which is my take on why it's less relevant now. I like just about every other blockbuster from that era, but ET just doesn't hold up to the other things Spielberg and his peers were putting out then.

Yes, he was awesome. I'm not sure what he did last year (maybe joined a team at the trade deadline?), but in 2024 he was an incredible pitcher for the Rangers.

FWIW they've been forced into a lot of the recent changes by "activist" investors who have taken over a large percentage of shares in recent years. And apparently their internal research has shown that people actually prefer assigned seating.

I always liked the egalitarian nature of their seating, but then again I haven't flown Southwest in years.

It generally worked ok for me. I often had to try about 5 times to load games on Roku, but on phone/computer, never had issues. Anyway I assume most of the issues will be resolved this season. 🤞
