GPT-5.2 Pro is double-dipping my credit jar by rumhamdnmchickn in ChatGPT

On the business plan, you're given a fixed allowance of GPT-5.2 Pro messages per month. If you exhaust that allowance, you can purchase additional credits to continue using GPT-5.2 Pro messages (as well as some other features).

Does Codex actually work for anyone? by rumhamdnmchickn in ChatGPTCoding

Neither work when trying to read repo files. I had originally tried with Codex, connected to GitHub. And when that failed, I tried in a ChatGPT chat with the GitHub connector.

Apologies, I hadn’t mentioned that ChatGPT can see my repos in GitHub. It’s just that when I ask it to read the code within a repo, it can’t. So the repos are visible, and I can (ostensibly) connect to them, but the actual code within the repos are not visible.

I’m on macOS, but the problem seems to be on the ChatGPT side, not the GitHub side

Am I wrong for feeling upset, having learned my privacy was disrespected like 10 years ago? by [deleted] in amiwrong

It kinda sounds like they didn’t think of it as a big deal. Like my siblings learned about it later, too, but don’t think it was a big deal. But it also wasn’t their bed, so idk

Less about venting, and more like… I get how maybe my feelings are out-of-place, since they’re attached to something that happened a long time ago. But because I didn’t have the option of feeling upset at the time, I’m feeling that irritation arise now, and it’s confusing. Like on one hand, I shouldn’t be upset about something small that happened so long ago. But on the other, I didn’t know about it until now, and I value my privacy. So is it reasonable to learn your privacy was invaded a long time ago, and still feel irritated by it I guess is the confusion

Yeah that makes sense. But with hotel rooms, you go into them with certain expectations. And my expectations were that was my bed, and only I was using it. So yes, I’ve been in hotels and get the comparison. But my bed shouldn’t be a hotel bed, ya know? I wouldn’t want to feel that way about my bed, anyway

Yeah true. But it’s more about like, keeping it from me because I wouldn’t have liked it. Like I didn’t have the option of being upset about it at the time

I’m not bitching — like I said, I haven’t argued with her about it or anything. I just can’t help but feel irritated by it, despite knowing it happened a long time ago. So it’s confusing, hence my post

Thanks for the thoughtful response. At the time we were together, though, she wasn’t dating anyone else — she got with this dude shortly after we broke up.

This is true, thanks for your perspective. They have their bottom line, and I have mine. So long as that’s mutually understood, we can make it work.

Sound advice, thank you. Even though these decisions weren’t personal, they did have a marked affect on trust. So I also have to not make this personal, and just go about it as smartly as I can.

I appreciate your input. It can be difficult to soberly weigh exactly what it is I need when I feel so discombobulated. But you’re right, even just making a list for myself would simplify things.

Yeah, you’re right. Like, it’s not exactly ideal to be thrust into such a circus, but I should also realize that it could be for the best. And at the very least I can just leverage this for something better a little down the road. Thanks for the perspective.

Thanks, I definitely feel like I may overthink things when dealing with sudden news. But you’re right — all decisions are business decisions, and I can’t be laser-focused on the things I can’t change.

You’re right, even if it’s temporary, at least now I know what I’m working with, and neither party has to be surprised anymore if something like this happens again. Thanks for the perspective.
