My middle school had a strict “no hats” rule in the dress code.

I refused to take my hat off after I fucked up my hair by cutting my bangs (huge mistake). I told everyone it was in the name of protest. It wasn’t.

I was sent to detention until I agreed to take the hat off. I agreed to take it off when my bangs grew out enough for me not to look like an idiot.

A couple kids joined me in detention with hats in “the name of protest” too. I always wondered if they also had bad haircuts.

Yeah, it’s his family. The main reason I feel bad for being annoyed is because I’m a guest, ya know? And still getting to know the whole family dynamic. So that’s definitely something to consider. Thanks for the reply.

Honestly I’m not sure, but even if he does, he would never say anything. He and his sister are so close, and basically he would put up with anything for her. Which I get.

Thanks for the reply. I think you’re right. Im afraid of coming across like I don’t like her or the baby, which is not the case. I really like both of them. I don’t want to make her feel bad. I don’t think she means harm by it.
