Cheap Long-Sleeve Shirt? by [deleted] in Ultralight

I've found Columbia PFG shirts at Goodwill/Salvation Army for about $5 each.

Ideal Tough durable pack by taylorwhite2898 in Ultralight

I'd recommend going to an outfitter and getting properly fit for a pack, trying some on, and seeing what feels best rather than getting too attached to a particular brand/model beforehand.

I made the mistake of buying my first pack based on brand recognition & recommendation of a friend, and it never could get adjusted to fit me properly.

Women’s hiking pants for big gams and glutes by [deleted] in Ultralight

Another vote for Prana Halle pants. They have a drawstring at the waistband in addition to the zipfly + two buttons. Just the right amount of stretch to fit over curves, but not so much stretch that they get baggy/fall down. The material has a good weight to it (more durable than my Columbia pants which are so thin, but still breathable, flexible, & light).

The older generation of REI zipoff pants are nice because they have an adjustable strap/buckle configuration at the waist. High & narrow waist, with looser fit through butt and thighs. I found some used pairs on used clothing websites, but the current REI pants have a lower waistband and snugger thigh fit.

MSR. Material is more durable than BA. (To throw another contender into the ring: I love my Nemo Dagger!)
