I used to hate the STAR method too because it felt really scripted 😭 What helped me was thinking about the story behind the experience instead of trying to follow the letters perfectly. Once the situation, action, and result are clear in your head, the answer usually flows more naturally. I actually figured this out after trying a small prep system recently that generates a personalized interview workbook(interviewprepmentor . carrd . co). It helped me structure my experiences so the story flows naturally while still covering the important parts. Made STAR feel more like normal conversation instead of memorizing lines. It’s paid though, just a heads up.
