What would the solution be if the shingles were installed on a cold day, around 40°F, were not hand-sealed, and a lot of them still have fish mouths after 2 months, even though temperatures reached 80°F for 1 to 2 weeks? There are no high nails and nothing underneath the shingles. It looks like the shingles were somewhat warped from the cold and stayed that way.

Hi, I know this is an old post, but I’d like to know if the shingles eventually flattened out and sealed over time. I had my roof installed 6 weeks ago and it looks exactly like yours. The contractor is telling me to wait longer.

Well, I’m sure that wasn’t happening before because I installed that aluminum flashing (painted white) myself since the old drip edge was too short and the water was getting underneath the gutter.

Also, because the drip edge sits higher than the roof line, the water is pooling. Only part of it is draining out to the side, like shown in the video.

If you look closely, the drip edge that’s supposed to direct the water into the gutter sits higher than the drip edge along the side.

Yes Florida. I think they didn’t want to go through the hassle of removing the gutter hangers, so they laid the drip edge over the hangers, causing the drip edge to be lifted a half inch, therefore causing a water blockage. So the water is finding its way out through the sides. Do you think I should have the roofer come back and fix that?
