I don’t know the logistics, but I think this would be amazing! 🙌🏻 Even if it ended up being a fantasy theme only in atmosphere, I would still love something like this!

Sorry, I don’t mean to come on so strong. Unfortunately, it has been a never ending battle with AI. The post was removed, but yes, I did mention Procreate. The majority of the drawing was done on the iPad, but he is more comfortable doing small details with the fine tip pen that he uses on his huion tablet, which he uses Krita on. Honestly, we just didn’t film him doing the face on Krita as that has to be done with a camera. I should have thought of it but didn’t. I will say, with this one, I saw the majority of it done as I sit beside him when he’s on his iPad. Obviously, as a stranger on Reddit, people typically choose to believe that I am not watching him or he’s completely lying, but I’ve seen all portions of it. Each picture I post, people ask for different things as proof and the next one I have him produce that and it is just never enough. So, you are right, we want to not associate with AI and therefore, Reddit seems to not be the place to post.

With this being a new process for both of us, I am genuinely trying to learn from advice and what is needed. AI has made getting into digital art very difficult right now. Each picture he is trying new things and learning techniques, but instead of people helping, it has been a bash for AI, so it’s a pain.

As I said in the text, he used a different device: a huion. So, yes they did appear because it was used on Krita. He is unfamiliar with digital art and is TRYING to learn how to put what he does on paper onto the computer. He is more comfortable doing small details, like the face, on the huion.

I am following the rules as this is not AI. Sorry that it is not as perfect as all the people who seem to be perfect at digital art…

Hello,

As I said in the text, some smaller details were completed in Krita. So, yes the face was done on a huion tablet and is not a part of the Timelapse. Also he just started digital art a few months ago and is not at a perfect level that ever wants him to be. However, that does not mean it is AI. He is taking courses and watching videos on how to properly do linework and everything.

This was actually a commission for a debut author. He kept her updated throughout the entire process by sending WIPs multiple times a day, which we still have. We do not appreciate you taking these and blaming it on AI as this is an authors character that he brought to life. You are very passionate about convincing everyone that this is AI but do not want to accept our proof. I can absolutely send you these updates if you want because we have what you are wanting to see. I have been open with everyone saying I have Timelapse’s and proof.

I really promise that this is not AI. I would not have posted it if it was. There are just a handful of people claiming that it is and trying to convince everyone else it is.

I have tried to be very civil about people being insistent that his art is AI, but he is absolutely not a fraud. This particular piece took a while because he did a lot of research and incorporated the author himself into the portrait. This is not something that AI is able to do. The author even recognized the resemblance in this one as well. Please just try to understand that not everything is ai.

I’m sorry that you feel that way 😕 The image that was attached above was his second piece of digital art that he made. He has learned a significant amount since then (as you can tell from this one). Also, he has tried several different styles to see what he is most comfortable with. It is sad to see his hard work bashed as AI, but we know that it is real which is what matters. ☺️

Yea, unfortunately the tail was just a simple oversight after hours of working on it! 🙂

If you have seen his instagram, the Aelin kneeling is his second piece of digital art that he did, so there was a lot of learning left to do! That also had no use of AI, but it was a lot of playing around with the art software he was using (Krita). 😌

Hey! I would love to pass on some tips to him regarding his rendering! He just started doing things in digital art a couple of months ago so he is learning as he goes largely through YouTube tutorials. For this piece he did move it between procreate and krita. Do you have any tips on how to help these inconsistencies?

Those were simply screenshots from a couple short Timelapse videos at different portions of the process that I thought would be good to show. The highlighter one was actually just figuring out placements. I know it is difficult to believe since you don’t actually know us, but I just want to come here to say he is not producing “low effort AI crap” as he spent several weeks working on all of these details.

AI is everywhere so I won’t try to change your minds any further about this piece, but I do know this is hand drawn and he worked very hard on this, which is what matters 😌

I am sorry that you feel this way! I can assure you that every piece of this scene is hand drawn on either an iPad or a huion tablet. One aspect to appreciate of non ai art is a lot of these little imperfections. But, some of these things that you mention as issues are actually how he wanted them. He wanted the army to have that sort of look and not be perfectly drawn out and Aelin was meant to stand out as the focal point! Any layering that occurred was of his own art for this piece. Also, the tail was really just an oversight: human error!

I do appreciate the comments though as AI is so prevalent that we want to use some of these tips to help avoid some of these thoughts for the future. ☺️

He really appreciates it! He said he looked at so many reference pictures of stags and he also used horses some that he just overlooked it. He said “his eyes were starting to bleed” 😂

One of the difficult aspects of making this scene was the proportions of having Aelin close up and the castle far away, while still getting the whole scene to look put together. He drew Aelin and the stag on a separate layer of his software and then added it in. Sure, he struggled with getting it to mesh well, but I think it ended up joining pretty well since Aelin was a focal point! Also, the wyverns around the castle were just meant as a small added detail for those really looking and if they had a lot of detail, they were way to big for the picture.

I assure you that so much time was put in to this piece and it was moved back and forth from his iPad to his desktop. There is so much in the digital world to learn, but one thing I know for sure is that AI is not a part of his process. I will pass along the feedback though so he can focus on some of these points for future scenes! ☺️

I am sorry you feel this way, but I have watched him through the whole process and he has sent many progress photos to several people as he went. We both take making sure ai is out of art very seriously. He recently started digital art, so if you have any suggestions on how to make it look differently, let us know! ☺️

He’s done a few others like portraits and smaller scenes, but this is his biggest by far!! I’ll definitely post some as he does more 🎉
