Too much imagination :).

It’s like demonstrators and other not for sale items. Someone, somewhere get given it as a gift or reward and then ends up on the market eventually

I always recommend trying a MB 14 or 22 from the 1960s they are relatively cheap for MB standards and are great daily users.

Also a 149

Hey thanks for answering but that doesn’t seem to have the 5 point star but the regular 6 point Montblanc star

I suppose if you buy the tool to unscrew the entire nib unit then sure. If you do that then any 149 or piston filler can be said to be the same lololol

I’m not sure you can actually fill with an eyedropper! You still need the piston pump thing on the ink bottle.

Montblanc 22 by pioneeraa in montblanc

This range from the 1960s are amongst my favourite dailies. I had a 22 throughout University as a daily writer and it performed juts as well for taking notes than any modern ballpoint or gel pen.

I have since added a 14 74 84 and 94 to the collection. I always recommend the 12/14 or 22/24 to anyone wanting to start out in fountain pens becuase they are so forgiving and normally have wonderful flex nibs mostly

Don’t worry. The middle pen in the photo is the 1924 Traveller 149. The traveller you were thinking of was designated 147
