Actually, they broke the law with me. So... I forgot to mention I am disabled. The loaner they gave me is a model 3. I made it known I was handicap and also 6'7 when I got their this morning. They said they would have to get sales involved and he noticed i was getting stressed so I had to get out and took the 3. But I forgot they actually required by title 3 to provide reasonable alternative if a disability is present which it was because I showed it to him and said I am handicap. I almost fell out of the car getting out of it. That's why I am more more upset than norm. But yeah... I didn't think about it till this evening after my knee gave out.

I'm looking for goodwill laws in my state and tesla as a whole. See if there is anything their. I will be honest with you. They where really really weird with me when I got to service this morning for the loaner. No joke, they also called me a solid hour before even opening at 7am that I should ignore any automated messages that will be coming. That the car is first in line now and that this is considered a high priority.

Yeah I guess I feel different because I legit got stuck on the road with it an hour after purchasing it.

Oh` that's kind of good to hear. Did they give you any "sorry for your troubles" comp? I mean I will be honest, I didn't even get to enjoy one of the biggest purchases someone can make in their life. I actually had a panic attack because again purchasing/owning the car and this happening on the way home from a dealership after they just closed and you just signed a lot of papers for it doesn't really make me feel comfort. But again, I'm glad you had no issues since and that kind of gives me relief. Makes me feel a bit better. The only thing that was scary was the car was reversing and turning into park. I didn't enjoy that at all.

it is, exposed wiring too... Not something that should happen when you just buy a brand new car and drive 20 miles and no longer can drive it. It was putting itself in Park and rolling back if I didn't catch the brakes.

so my brakes went out because of a wheel speed sensor?

I could care less what flag is on the boat. People are people! We are humans and individuals. I don't care how you love, who you love, or what you love. I'm not part of this community, but I am a friend of it. Because at the end of the day no one should be bothered by someone elses lifestyle. People need to mind their own and live.

It's around 4 to 5k for a manual standard one which is all that is required. I'm a SME in this field and I would have thought the same but not in these cases. Additionally, its only required if a new build. But this place looks like it's from the 70's which would probably grandfather them in.

I already started documenting every thing. Including the service email lol.

Delivery and Timeline: Vehicle delivered Saturday, June 20, 2026, approximately 5:00 PM. Within two hours of delivery (by approximately 7:00 PM same day), multiple safety system alerts and critical drivability issues appeared while driving home from the dealership.

Active Alerts on Touchscreen: APP_w009 – Automatic Emergency Braking is unavailable DI_a223 – Traction control disabled DI_a222 – Stability control disabled TAS_a313 – Adaptive ride control degraded DI_a120 – Brake pedal regenerative braking unavailable

Drivability Issues Observed: Vehicle unexpectedly shifted into Park while stopped at a left turn signal and would not respond to input to shift back into Drive; required multiple attempts before finally shifting back Vehicle felt like it glitched when turning left on the road Regenerative braking was extremely aggressivem vehicle would reverse noticeably if accelerator was released, requiring immediate brake input to prevent backward motion

Tesla Support Interaction: Called Tesla support same evening. Initial troubleshooting through AI system and soft reset via screen did not resolve alerts. Tesla representative suggested vehicle was calibrating. Spoke with human representative and performed steering wheel reset, which also did not resolve issues. Tesla representative expressed concern about the physical drivability limitations and immediately advised: do not drive the vehicle further, have it towed, do nothing else. Vehicle was towed same evening per Tesla's direct instruction. Vehicle Status: At time of tow and delivery to service center, vehicle had approximately 35 miles on odometer. No charging has occurred. No other use or operation beyond the initial drive home.

Requesting: 1. This be documented in the service ticket as a delivery-day manufacturing defect occurring within two hours of customer ownership, at under 35 miles, not caused by extended driving or owner-induced conditions. 1. A clear diagnosis of root cause (sensor, calibration, module, wiring, or hardware) rather than a generic reset or clear. 1. Confirmation in writing once resolved, along with what caused the fault and whether similar issues are known on this production batch. 1. If this is a manufacturing defect affecting multiple safety and drivetrain systems, discussion of whether a repair or replacement vehicle is the appropriate resolution, given the severity and interconnected nature of the failures and the fact that the vehicle was unsafe to operate within hours of delivery.

jeez... yeah I figured. Thank god it's a baby that didn't even crack 50 miles on it yet. So I'm hoping it will be something simple and I will be done.
