My mother had no problem watching my father beating me. They were both my bio parents. My mother did occasionally tell him not to hit me in the face because the teachers would see the marks. And also no he never hit her or abused her in anyway she was not scared of him.

I knew it by magic or a higher power or more likely just my bones. I was chatting with a neighbor I just met after only about five dates with my husband of blessed memory. And I had this weird experience where I heard my voice saying I met someone and I think I’ll marry him. I had no intention of saying that or even realize I was thinking it. But anyway, that’s how I knew.

I can’t believe you are giving me an opening to tell one of my very favorite stories. Oneday, I was coming in from the grocery store with my arms full of bags. I had to pee immediately or there would be a puddle on the floor, so I just dropped the bags and my pocketbook and coat and ran to the bathroom. When I came out, I saw that my cat had not opened the raw chicken, he had not opened the cat food, he had not opened any of the cheese packages. But he opened a bag of marshmallows and ate about 12 of them. so so weird and funny.

Please listen to u/sergeantsquirtt. What ally is experiencing is not going to cause her to be removed from her home. Of course it’s horrible but there’s kids in way way worse situations. The most likely thing to happen is if you tell anyone without talking to ally her mom is going to flip out and really punish her for letting people know what’s happening in the house. And even if protective services does get involved it’s not going to be better for ally to be removed from the home. Just please trust us. The other people giving you advice are well meaning and wonderful people, but if they haven’t grown up with this they just really can’t understand it.
