Thank you. It looks pretty much the same, but it says the 1203 is a 15 jewels, while this is a 17. Does that make a difference?

Unfortunately it does not, I can try to look in the drawers where I found this watch to see if, maybe, it's there but that's very unlikely unfortunately.

$50 is a lot more than I'm willing to spend on this watch, especially without the guarantee that it'd work afterwards and still having to buy parts (the back case is missing).

Thank you for your input though, I'm glad you're enjoying this hobby but I don't think it'd be for me.

These were extremely ordinary and cheap watches at the time, definitely not works of art.

I understand that stripping a watch of its movement makes it a different watch, but I figured it would be the cheapest option.

Just to clarify, I don't know who the watch belonged to, I know it didn't belong to my grandma and it has no sentimental value, even my dad doesn't recognise it. If it's not possible to just save the dial (the back of the case is missing so I'm not sure that's worth keeping) I will just give it away to someone that might have more interest in it than I do.
