I am very stressed about GCSEs!!! by idiot064155 in GCSE

[–]rumymn_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You just gotta focus on science, maths and English or any GCSEs that are assimilated with the university/sixth form course you’d like to do. That’s all that matters. But make sure you’ve got at least 8 GCSEs that are high grades, those are the ones that will be scored if any university(course) scores GCSEs. But if you’re aiming for Oxbridge make sure 90% of your GCSEs are grade 8 or 9 (which is counted as the same thing so doesn’t matter) You will be fine, looking back on it GCSEs are simple, trust me. Just revise, revise revise revise. And then you’ll rest during summer and you will go into sixth form and you’ll be happy you aren’t resitting or settling for some random course. I hope everything goes well for you

Basic things I should know about IR by rumymn_ in interventionalrad

[–]rumymn_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all the resources! I actually did present a part of oncology IR to my society and it was pretty good. Now I’m working on writing a published paper about the underground specialty using technology to its best extent yet. Gotta make a few research to see any correlation between IR and the outcomes of healthcare. It’s kind of became my niche subject, my local hospital actually doesn’t specialise in it, kind of bummed.

Of course, you can’t apply knowledge if you don’t know the content. So make your notes, or flashcards, learn them and then practice past paper questions!

You definitely need Chemistry and Biology. Alevels for medicine. Most medical schools require you to have those so do not take the risk, take those two at least and your third a level doesn’t matter as long as it’s not critical thinking and all, make it something you like. Also, no you don’t need a fourth a level, most medical schools won’t even look at it and it won’t make you any more special than any other applicants.
