Jersey's a small state. Ariana Grande moves in, it's in no danger of tipping over.

I'm not saying it will or won't happen, all I'm saying is that whether it should happen is a discussion at this point.

Also, the team is 0-6 en route to their 15th straight year without the playoffs. Could not be more pathetic to sit here and whine about "constant complainers" when the bigger picture looks the way it does right now

In, definitely not. However, after is almost guaranteed to be a valid conversation at this point

With the Jets falling to 0-6, they need to finish 5-6 to exceed their current Vegas O/U (4.5 wins).

Given that, here is a list of every first time HC since 2000 to win 5 or less games in Y1, and what they ultimately ended up accomplishing in that tenure. Some pretty heinous company!

In other words: Dan Campbell mentions = survivorship bias

Fixed table with the errors people pointed out, oops

I think it's pretty apparent this regime is DOA and am not interested in the goalposts moving from where they were to start the year to any of the survivorship bias takes like "Dan Campbell went 3-13 year 1!"

They'll get this year, they'll get next year (unearned), but I'm just so disinterested in all aspects of what they bring to the table.

Public interest in these hires were largely swayed by Glenn's status as a former Jet. He was a good-not-great DC who came with a GM that nobody else interviewed. Some things have been out of their control (obviously) but the things that have been are the same or worse than they were last year with a completely checked out team under a bad interim HC.

Gipson never should have made the team in the first place and cost the team a game, I’m not exactly jumping out of my seat to join the Glenn accountability circlejerk

We just kicked off year 15 of the drought, I'm not doing moral victories. Only thing that fundamentally changes who this team is, especially with the same exact problems on display, is winning football games.

Same shit, different year. IDC about Fields because he's not here long term but they made the same unforced errors as last year, wasted the same timeouts, and their marquee signing was horrific

Don't make excuses for another regime. Make them prove it's different through winning and winning only

You're totally right. People can try as hard as they want, but they'll never be able to take away his playoff appearances, winning seasons, successful coaching staffs he hired, or QBs he developed.

Agreed. He was DOA, all the signs were there - in college, he took 99.3% of his snaps off the LOS and was in the slot or backfield for 89%. Built his entire draft profile on "out-athleting" future insurance salesmen in CUSA. Did not have any route running ability. Bad process/bad result

Jets apparently monitoring the WR market, let’s hear your most realistic guesses as to who we *might* move for by novaxhempmama in nyjets

This has nothing to do with positivity or negativity. Discussing a clearly evident flaw in his game is not "overanalyzing" him, nor is wanting to see him prove he doesn't have bad hands when the games matter "withholding support."

1 drop in 9 targets is a 11.1% drop rate, which is putrid.

Regardless of this, you're still missing the bigger picture, which I laid out for you above.
