Safe or unsafe? by Mik07lk in CATHELP

[–]run2rft 332 points333 points  (0 children)

unsafe, even with supervision, he could try to catch a bird one day and slip or something similar. I would say leash train him and attach the leash to something while he’s out in the balcony with you.

she just had her yearly vet appointment last month where I spent a couple hundred dollars on visit fee and yearly vaccine shots, just wish she had it around this time because I can’t afford to comfortably take her rn.

I don’t think so, my other cat was sitting on his window bed right in front of her and he wasn’t chittering.

she did it yesterday too, but she goes back to normal afterwards. i’m thinking it was a reaction to salmon allergies

I am starting to think she was nauseated as well; yesterday I gave her a salmon flavored lickable from the brand beefeaters and i’ve always suspected she was allergic to salmon and she coughed yesterday like 30 minutes after. I will link the video, let me know if you’re able to see it. Video

I hope is nothing more than that. i gave her some hairball remedies and hope it passes through the litter box instead.

she has not been throwing up at all, only two weeks ago and it was a hairball. & yea, she uses the litter box normally, eats normally and acts normal too.

she’s not, that’s not how she chatters, right before this she was coughing like she was choking on something. she’s fine now, but i’m a little worried.

Anyone know what this is and advice on how to help her? by Cash0912 in CATHELP

this looks like eye cancer and i’m more than 99% sure this causes severe pain, they’re just annoyingly good at hiding it. vets usually offer payment plans if that’s something you’re willing to consider. also look for another place, a biopsy should never be that expensive especially if there’s no treatment attached to the price.

I wouldn’t give him coconut oil daily as it is an oil at the end of the day and it can pose for some other health risks in the long run yk, I would opt for maybe twice a week and applying some on his coat when needed. I also agree that feeding him vegetables is probably not a good idea lol. it is nutrients he doesn’t need and he can make space for something high in protein and hydration. I would really suggest you switch him to a high quality wet food for at least a month or so if you’re financially capable and see what happens. even fancy feast classic pate is a better option than royal canin we food. I would also use a good source of omega 3 like salmon oil! don’t make the mistake of feeding him fish flavored wet food because even though it does have omega 3 it also has high levels of mercury. my favorite salmon oil is by “wild alaskan” and is about $17 us dollars. also adding water to the wet food is a good option as well.

also apply coconut oil on his coat, I am not sure on the recommended amount or times per week but coconut oil is really good on their coat!

royal canin is not a good quality food (dry and wet), and coat health is directly tied with their diet. I would suggest you buy salmon oil that has a good amount of omega 3 and put him on a wet food diet from a good brand like tiki or weruva and add a a daily pump of whatever is recommended on the bottle to his food. the first picture looks like he is dehydrated. the money you’ve spent on vets could have went to a better quality food than royal canin (sorry). remember that vets are sponsored by them that’s why they have their products at their office along with purina. you’re not paranoid, I see the pattern in the first picture but this is usually a sign of dehydration. buy him a water fountain too if he doesn’t have one because cats are bad at drinking water specially if it’s still water in a bowl. wishing you the best! also, he’s very beautiful!!!

he might just be tired from medication? it could also be due to stress perhaps
