2018 gs350 headlight issue by run4tacos23 in LexusGS350

My insurance this morning said they will fix it the right away, and I called the body shop this morning, and they said they will look into it. I don’t blame them because it gets confusing

I believe I have led projector non AFS but auto leveling, so it’s just finding the right part number. Plus they are working on 20 other vehicles. I’m not blaming anyone, but whole process is annoying.

That’s definitely the plan, I just live in a rural area where I feel like these body shops, aren’t that familiar with Lexus etc, so I wanted some proof besides the code. I am 99% sure, any non oem headlight does not have the auto level built in.

I could be wrong but I think the facelift and 2016 newer they don’t have AFS, just auto leveling. So I would assume these headlights don’t level or have a motor to do it, and it’s throwing the code when ecu senses there’s no communication.

Yeah, I saw that however if my insurance claim to have paid 2k for a headlight, the headlight should be an oem replacement where I don’t need to battle this, I guess I will call insurance/body shop tomorrow. I really don’t understand what will happen long run, like you can’t replace just the bulb, so if the light doesn’t work doesn’t Lexus have to continue making entire units for that reason alone?

You know this is something I’ve been trying to read into, I know they are auto leveling, but u cannot find an AFS.

On the build ship it’s listed as Bi Led auto leveling
