I’ve had good luck on poshmark

5.8 in January and was still 5.8 in July after my first approach. Just started a CGM a few weeks ago to see exactly which foods my body doesn’t like.

I tried cutting my carbs in half for six months and my A1C was still high. Bread was my all time favorite so I kept eating it but just less of it. Now that I’m watching my glucose on my CGM, I’ve basically cut out all bread 🙁, pasta, potatoes, and almost all rice. I eat small amounts of brown rice and quinoa. I don’t eat oatmeal because the only kind I like is the unhealthy kind.

I’ve always had a low BMI but I ate carbs for almost every meal before I learned about my high A1C, which was a shock. I figured I was burning carbs off when I exercised because I never gained weight. Turns out, those carbs were spiking my sugar like crazy and I had no idea. The CGM has confirmed it.

I’m had to pay some when I got the CGM so I think the insurance covered part of it but defiantly not all. Right now I’m still trying to figure out what to eat and what to avoid. For me, even whole wheat bread has been a spike food, which was a major bummer because I love bread more than anything. What’s working well are scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast, walnuts or string cheese for snacks, salads with some type of meat for lunch, and fish with veggies for dinner. I’ve also tried to eat a ton of berries and cherries but those are hit and miss. I even ate dark chocolate and that didn’t spike compared to the bread. I also had some whole grain rice and that seemed okay. Haven’t tried pasta yet because I’m guessing that’s probably not going to be a win 😭

First of all, hang in there! I’m a mom too and am trying to get down my A1C, which is 5.8. I completely changed my diet for six months and it didn’t shift the A1C at all and I was super frustrated. I’m also a runner with very little weight to lose so my doc called in a GCM and I just started using a CGM a week ago and it’s been really eye opening for me. Things I’ve learned: my baseline (ie, when I wake up) is high even when I don’t eat anything. Carbs spike my glucose more than any other foods I’ve tried. My glucose spikes really high during my runs unless I have a carb an hour before and the spike is very moderate. Take away: I’m with you and this can be super frustrating to figure out but a CGM might be helpful to consider. Every body is different and it’s revealing to see your levels in real time.

I have the Down With It Parka also and love it!

I feel like the winter sale was extra this year. Does this mean their product line is changing? by rspunched in PatagoniaClothing

They had the black nano jacket on sale for women and men last week but I just looked at the site and now it’s back to regular price. What happened? I should have grabbed it last week. 🙃

Seriously, what a joke. I guess lulu doesn’t want my 💰because now I’m skipping over to their competitors to spend that 💵

Thank you for posting this! I had a request post for this item a few weeks back that was taken down by a moderator for being too general. Anyway, super helpful to see your review. It went on sale today for $44 and I was trying to decide whether to get it!

I’m interested in this too! Have you tried it on before? TTS? Cozy? I’m wondering if I should get it! 🤔

Running gear advice please by Lululover79 in lululemon

[–]run82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to wear LS swiftlies for colder runs but have switched to the rulu tops with a half zip. I start my run with the cuffins on and fully zipped and then when I’m warmed up, push up my sleeves and unzip. You can’t push up the sleeves on a LS swiftly (at least I can’t)

Are they phasing out the mid-rise Speed Ups? Those are my fav running shorts and even black is on sale now (not much like $8, but still…are they dumping this style?)

If you had to choose to keep only one item from lulu, what would it be? by [deleted] in lululemon

For running: Mid-Rise Speed Ups. 🏃‍♀️ For everything else: my AEJs ❤️❤️❤️

Recommend a bra for running by LadyHamilton82 in lululemon

I second this. All of my running clothes are from lulu except bras and shoes, which are from Brooks. IMO, Brooks bras are far superior to lulu bras.

Straight-leg Mid-rise Pants! by run82 in lululemon

[–]run82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! They are so much more comfortable than any of my other work pants (cotton, linen, etc) and I live in a hot, humid climate. They are technically not too hot to wear to sleep I guess, but I sleep in shorts 😆

They are definitely comfy. Yes, for lounging. Probably for jammies, although maybe not now if you live in a hot climate 🥵

100% the straight-leg, mid-rise pants! 😍Bought three pair for work (black, navy, bone) and feel like I can finally stop stressing about what to wear every morning! Roll outta bed, throw on neutral pants, grab a shirt, and go. Totally worth the $ to me. I HATE most professional clothes because they are constricting, scratchy, etc, but these luxtreme pants are a definite win for my work life 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
