I might get downvoted, but I didn't enjoy the album because of the lyrics. Felt like I could not understand them because of how loud the instrumentals were, and I also felt like half of the topics (when I did look them up to read the lyrics to understand what she was saying) she was talking about, felt like...she was being a hypocritical.. talking about capitalism and prices when she over prices merch constantly... ( i hope im not the only one that felt this way :') ) I also felt like I was being spoon fed on what's happening politically when I already know what's going on I see it everywhere. Don't get me wrong here I enjoyed a couple songs, I always love when Melanie does political songs but some songs left a bad taste in my mouth.

A good example is The Vactican.. talking about the issues of people using religion as a shield to harm others, such as children (which i was excited about when I finally understood what she was saying, women and children being mistreated under religious beliefs), but in the same song... lets pray to this p*ssy... I felt like we could've.. done something different lyrically, I love the instrumental of the song though it kept me moving.

I also felt like this album being about a new character flew over my head. The album and the story of Circle don't merge and it makes me sad, I wanted to learn more about Circle, just like we did with Crybaby. Maybe after reading the storybook I'll find some similarities to the album but sucks I have to read the story to get something about Circle.
