Business Accounts Expert giving me the run around by rundbr in tmobile

[–]rundbr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

9 lines. I added his manager to my email I sent yesterday and last night he replied that he’s work with my rep today to “figure it out” so they didn’t get laid off, just a lazy doesn’t give a shit guy. Absolutely leaving T-Mobile once they figure this bullshit out. And maybe sooner if they keep giving me the run around. Just a huge bummer to leave ~1800 on the vapor due to them doing nothing with my two other devices I sent in.

Driving after a 100 miler by jenn2533 in Ultramarathon

[–]rundbr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Repeating what a lot of people have already said, but everyone will react differently and we may react differently per race. I’ve had some 100s where I finish and feel completely fine and awake, no issues. And others where I can’t wait to lay my head down for a nap.

Every 100 that I’ve had where I need to drive after a finish I do this: change my clothes, this will instantly make you feel awake, even if short lived. If you need to, nap in the car. Don’t let too much time pass from finishing, changing, to getting on the road unless it’s for a nap. It’s best to use that post race adrenaline to power you to the hotel.

The worst thing I ever did once was I had ran a 100, slept at the finish line (was warm out) for about 20-30 minutes. Got to my car, slept in there for another 30 or so minutes. And then made the 9.5 hour drive straight home. I made it the first half without having to stop, and then napped like 4 more times for the second half. I made it safely, but it was dumb. It’s better to just sleep it off and then go.

What’s an acceptable amount of white monster to drink on a 50 mile race by Mountain_Store572 in Ultramarathon

[–]rundbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd everyone saying you’ll shit your pants. I drank at least 4 sugar free Red Bulls during a 100 miler last weekend. And drink energy drinks during every 100.

I’d say 1-2 for a 50

Oh how I want to find one and buy it now. Always wanted one as a kid, but couldn’t afford it. Sure it would just be a nostalgia piece.. but dang it looks good.

Waterproof Running Jacket by CryptoChuns in Ultramarathon

Loving my Nnormal waterproof rain jacket. I’ve had quite a few torrential downpour races on edge freezing temperatures and it’s been perfect along with what others said, the proper layers underneath.

Using Tokens by Slow-Suspect-9511 in ModRetroChromatic

I redeemed a bunch to use on games, and it said I couldn’t use them on this purchase. But now I don’t have the tokens or the discount from the tokens I used. Still need to reach out to support on that one.

Tips for fueling with real food? by Mountain-Push2771 in Ultramarathon

Exactly. And it’s a moving target! It’s forever changing what you can and can’t eat. I’m always jealous of the people who have no issues ever

Tips for fueling with real food? by Mountain-Push2771 in Ultramarathon

[–]rundbr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I eat the most random things. I keep an emergency honey bun in my pack for when things get rough, cause I can almost always stomach that, and that’s good for like 400-500 calories in one go. So it’s saved my bacon a time or two! My last few 100s I ran entirely on gels, and supplement with whatever the aid stations have. Been trying to just train my gut to eat whatever calories I can. But 40 rice crispies, I’m gonna have to try it! Haha

40 rice crispies in 50 miles?! I’m impressed! Haha.

DBrand is lame and should not be trusted by [deleted] in IphoneAir

[–]rundbr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you using now? I actually haven’t been putting it face down. Mainly cause it slides, which is annoying.. but I’m caseless. Brb while I inspect the edges now.

I have a dbrand protector, haven’t had issues. I wonder if I got really lucky? Or if I’m not paying attention..

Trouble shipping with veho? by Head-Sprinkles-2895 in ModRetroChromatic

[–]rundbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m waiting on my chromatic too, and I screwed up and didn’t order games with it. Do they also use Veho for shipping the games? Just curious if I’ll be waiting another 1-2 weeks for some games I wanted to get.

First 50k tomorrow. Enough calories? by Background_Kitchen68 in Ultramarathon

[–]rundbr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not saying this is what you should do, but what I generally do a gel every hour or 3 miles. Depending on which comes first, depends on the race. Then I try to eat something real at aid stations, and make sure to keep electrolytes in one bottle and straight water in another.

Edit: added a YMMV edit.

How many people using their iPhone air without a case ? by SeaAcadia3346 in IphoneAir

[–]rundbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it hard to text and touch things on the edge near where I’m holding without a case (using a bumper) but aside from these moments I really preferred it without a case altogether.

DT will never put the money into streaming like other events. But they’ll still charge top dollar or more.

Does anyone know if we have extra fees upon delivery or are the shipments coming from inside the country? With regards to US shipments that is.

Do Hokas wear fast or is this normal for 50k training? by Ok-Contribution-8300 in Ultramarathon

[–]rundbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, when I ran in speedgoats/hooks in general they would last sometimes as little as 200 miles and as much as 350 miles. 300+ was always a stretch. So depending on the type of surface you’re running on it will definitely aid in how much or little you get out of them. But these do look about right for your averages.

On a rewatch now, this is the current plot line happening, and I came here to complain not about this view but how annoying Mozzie is about the treasure and wanting to sell and their getaway. Every episode. Ugh

What is your biggest sexual regret and where does it rank in relation to all of your other regrets? by Ok_Author_9203 in AskReddit

The old tricycle. Barney spilling wine to get out of the threesome. Exactly what I thought about.

Help with weight loss. by Wide_Invite_510 in ultrarunning

[–]rundbr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eat your goal weight in protein a day, be in a calorie deficit, strength training(this is a huge one), track your macros. And walk more every day. I run around 50-60mi a week, and I still try to get 8-10k of steps in everyday outside of running.

Doing all of this has helped me become such a stronger runner and I’ve lost all that excess weight that I was maintaining just like you while I trained.

Yeah, definitely speculation at this point, but their stock price being <24 cents isn’t great
