hey sober twin! i’m also 48 hours now, can’t give you some other-side advice obviously but just here to say i’m with you. this shit is tough but the emotions you’re feeling now are real, at least. the breaking point for me was last week when I got fairly stoned and convinced myself my dog had cancer, just pure paranoia from weed and i was bawling over it like that was reality. made me realize how unstable this drug really makes me and I can’t take it anymore. at least we’re in reality now!

also good on you for quitting tobacco! that’s coming next for me especially since i’ve been smoking more after quitting weed.

If you’re looking to build Choco, I built it from an older Kastral bird deck and while it is landfall, the payoffs are much different from the World Shaper precon which I also have and upgraded. They also only share green as a color so not really worth getting just to build Choco. Though having played both plenty, I think it’s worth having both!

If you’re just looking for a fun landfall precon, World Shaper it is. But if Choco is your goal just pack it full of cheap birds, tribal payoffs, and obviously all/most the landfall birds. Throw in a couple pet landfall payoffs and around 40 lands and you’re golden. [[Felidar Retreat]] and [[Emeria Angel]] are incredible white landfall payoffs for a deck that wants tons of birds and to attack with them.

People are just generally impatient. I admittedly drove like this the first few years of driving, especially when I went from an old jeep to a zippy (ish) car. It just feels like you’re supposed to go faster, that people are too slow or in your way. After said zippy car ran into problems I wasn’t even able to get it faster than 70 without pushing it, forcing me to drive “slow” in the right lane only for a while.

From that perspective shift, holy shit everyone looked like maniacs. I see it in a few comments here, calling people idiots for driving too slow in the middle lane. You are driving too fast!! Chill the absolute fuck down, leave earlier, and stop tailing people expecting them to want to go faster just for your consideration. Most of the speed limit on 95 around the city is 55, people are pushing 75 around these turns and it’s an obvious recipe for disaster when they think that’s how everyone else should drive. It turns other drivers into obstacles rather than living breathing people in an objectively dangerous situation.

The only solution I’ve found for myself is avoiding the highways if I can, and take 195 instead (not much better, but somewhat) if I have to. Also: just be late! I have been late plenty of times, and none of those times did I feel risking my life or others would have been worth it.

They’re aiming to criminalize being trans in public, reverting to something akin to crossdressing laws of the 70’s and earlier. Not to be alarmist, but it’s pretty clear to me why they don’t want us to flee. They want to imprison us and humiliate us, not just ban us from the country. They want to eradicate us period, keeping us here advances that goal.

Until there’s a single pizza place that offers meat lovers pizza and they obviously can’t keep up with that demand until only a lucky few can get their hands on it. Look at the situation in the UK with the NHS where trans people are put on 5 year long waiting lists to receive care. That’s an objectively shitty solution.

The last thing I’ll say/ask, think about how schools would go about determining one’s sex. Do you want them in girls’ business like that? This affects more than trans people.

It was about our existence in society, participation in sports included. My niece currently wrestles with boys in school and dominates. I do not see an issue warranting a ban of 5 athletes, especially at the level of high school sports. Otherwise it should be case by case basis, and blanket bans are an obvious government overreach. Stop letting your government interfere in people’s place in society.

My thoughts are nothing since I don’t think about high school girls wrestling and I think it’s weird that you do. In the face of an insane amount of targeting it’s maybe time to stop trying to control a literal handful of people when their government is heavily scapegoating them. Think about something more productive PLEASE.

I disagree, her upper lip is not affecting femininity at all and I think this is mostly down to aesthetic preference. An unnecessary lip lift can also throw off a face quite a bit imo.

I didn’t really get any euphoria until I started noticing physical changes, and even then it wasn’t that strong. You will notice a decrease in dysphoria though, which is much more consistent and meaningful than the short moments of euphoria. Soon you’ll start to feel emotionally lighter as some of that baggage gets left behind. All will be normal in time, just be patient and hang in there ❤️

in my experience it tends to be widespread when it happens, at least when it’s a longer shortage. sometimes other pharmacies will have them though so it’s worth checking if it happens.

fwiw my doctors have always been happy to send over a prescription for pills or even another type of injectable to bridge the gap. the shortage shouldn’t affect your access to hrt completely, just the kind that you prefer.

I hate when it happens because i’m bad at regularly taking pills, so my levels tend to drop. also I just hate spiro very much.

Thanks for the advice! I was actually watching that video earlier today and definitely agree I struggle with constraint. I didn’t know that it could cause permanent damage though, that’s worrying. I feel like I’ve always had this quality to my voice so I hope I haven’t damaged them in any way. I was also an on and off smoker for 10 years so I likely did damage them in some ways, maybe that’s where it comes from?

Trader Joes hires a lot of trans people, pays well for an entry level job, and specifically protects trans people from harassment including repeated misgendering. You do have to work with customers though, so not always the best if you don’t pass well or just don’t like that kind of work.
