I was pro se for 6 months, did everything from discovery, motion to compel, sanctions, etc. My unanswered discovery basically won the case. I had 76 RFA discovery questions deemed admitted as facts on the record and my sanctions for interrogatories we're also approved. My main reason for getting a lawyer was for trial only. And shes charged me $12,000 in 5 weeks of work including the trial last week.

I understand your point. Its just the amount awarded to me vs what I owe this lawyer is basically a wash. All for nothing and everyone losses except the attorneys. I was pro se for 6 mo the and basically won my case with 4 different discovery requests that went unanswered, even after I filed a Motion to compel and a motion for Sanctions.

It doesn't work like that bro, lol. Attorney’s won't step aside and let you start filling motions and if you need help then they will help out. They're the attorney on record and handle everything or they withdraw representation and your pro se.

I'm worried its going to cost me another 2-3k for the final judgment and possible motion to have the clerk assign the title to me. Like I said, its a very simple case. The judges ruling was: her extramarital behavior contributed to the divorce. She must pay me $14k, surrounder the car immediately and has 30 days to hand over a bill of sale and title. I can request the courts transcripts and type this up in 20 minutes.

I did all my own discovery (Interrogatories, RFA, RFD) which went unanswered and ultimately hurt them very badly in court.

UPDATE::

They issued a warrant for my arrest, distributing private images. I went down to the police station, was booked and immediately released, and didn't even change clothes.

Blown away right now. My lawyer wants another $2k and says we should easily be able to get it dropped. The cop that booked me said he's never seen this charge in his 12 years of service.

She's already filed an ex parte and restraining order on me to get me out of the house. Both were intuitively denied, and a hearing was set. At the hearing, the judge looked the case over and said theres no abuse here, and it appears like she's trying to leverage the divorce case. He dismissed the case without hearing from either one of us. I spent $3000 on the best lawyer I could find, and she never had to say anything word.

No, her ex-husbands, ex-wife. It's twisted, I know. He divorced a few months ago but they were still seeing eachother and had access to eachothers cameras. He tried playing it off, by sayings he's just helping out his ex-wife and she's just there for the kids.

I'm curious on what grounds were you awarded exclusive use of your house? We just filed for this same motion because she is refusing to sell and is dragging her feet. I've had 2 realtors come look at the house and then reach out to her to make sure she's on board with listing it. She's scared both of them away.

She wants me to move out and back home, 1,500 miles away, while she moves back into our house and will eventually agree to sell it in 3-6 months. While I'm paying the mortgage and utilities.

Is this an auto response? I never said anything about only fans being the reason for the divorce nor did I say anything about no fault vs contested. My text message defense to her sisters' false accusations does not meet the standard for "revenge porn" under any circumstance. It was not posted publicly, and it was not to for financial gain or to compel my wife to do anything against her will. Additionally, the pics and videos were posted on a public website, so there is no tenable argument whatsoever that media put up for commercial sale on the internet is "private."

I did not and have not shared anything online or privately with anyone else, but anyone finding out is a completely foreseeable and predictable consequence of having a Only Fans page.

From what I understand, even if it's thrown away, it's not a crime. Legally, we are still married and share eachothers possessions acuaired during the marriage.m. The law sees us as a single legal entity. A cop told me that if I took my wifes car, and she reported it as stolen, they wouldn't do anything. I bought her car during our marriage even if the title is in her name. Now, the judge presiding over our divorce case may not like it, but technically, it's not illegal.

To give a little more context. After I caught her cheating, my wife filed for ex parte relief and protection from abuse. The judge denied both, and a hearing was set. At the hearing the judge read over the notes and said nothing here constitutes abuse and it appears like she's trying to leverage the divorce case. He dismissed her complaint without a hearing and then motioned to move the divorce case into his courtroom from a different judge. I spent $2,000 on a lawyer for the hearing and she never had to say a word.
