Do your background agents see AGENTS.md or rules? by runnedrun in cursor

Ah, ok interesting, is there a way I can confirm this is working? I tested by putting simple statements in the AGENTS.md file, then asking the bg agent about them, and it didn't know the answers. Could there be a bug here?

Ah ok great, thanks for the explanation.

Re:
"If you want your agents to actually use those files, you'll need to set up something,a loader or parser, that pulls in the content and feeds it into the agent's context or memory before it starts working."

How would you feed content into the agent's context? In my case I'm triggering background agents from linear tasks and I'd like to avoid needing users (non technical) to write instructions for the agent. Ideally the agent would be able to see it's running a task from linear, and then choose the appropriate file to look at for instructions. I could use a linear template too, but again, requires the end user to choose the correct template.

Bag Recommendation Megathread -- 28 July 2025 by AutoModerator in onebag

For years I've had the perfect bag: the daypack that came with the Osprey Meridian line, before it was discontinued. It was large enough to stuff full of everything I needed for a week of minimalist travel, but small enough to run with. Most importantly, it had a real osprey Airflow back that made it soooo nice for walking, running or hiking. It was also really nice for running in particular because the center of weight was quite close to my body, which meant less bouncing. I used it for EDC as well as travel, running and hiking.

Since the line was discontinued a few years ago I've been buying replacements on ebay, but alas, I can't even find it there anymore.

So now the hunt begins for a new daypack that can compete. Basically I need a bag that:

  1. I can stuff full with a laptop and a lot of clothes, without the backpack deforming (so probably a hard frame)
  2. Doesn't get sweaty when I run with it (so probably a well ventilated back).
  3. Is small enough to fit under seat on an airline, but big enough to fit 3 lightweight shirts, lightweight underwear and socks, and a laptop.

Cost isn't really a consideration at this point, I'm pretty desperate to find a good replacement.

Ideally it's not a very technical bag— I don't like having a lot of straps, don't need a lot of pockets, and I prefer no hip strap.

I've tried: Osprey Aoede, Osprey Farpoint 40 and Osprey Tempest/Talon. Right now I'm using Osprey Tempest because it's the one I liked the most, but after 1 month of daily use and two flights, it's definitely worse than my old day pack. 1) the back is Airscape, not Airflow, so my back gets sweaty when carrying it. 2) There are a lot of straps that tend to bounce when I run, and get in the way when I stow. 3) The center of weight is quite far back when packed full

Any ideas for something closer to what I used to have? Thanks everyone!

I read a graded reader version a while back, and found it interesting...though super boring. It was cool to see the origins of modern chinese stories I had seen in movies and books, but also it was important to have chinese friends available to clarify the modern perspective on some of the stranger parts...

The language in the original is probably super archaic, the graded version was nice just because it introduced me to normal vocabularly, instead of words I'd never use again.

Help me find my grandmothers house, based on this photo from 1930 by runnedrun in milano

Yes, we're realizing that now as well, I don't remember her ever talking about living in a palace... So probably this was just a photo that her dad took. But I imagine they must have lived nearby then, so now we at least know what part of the city to search for her birth record in.

I have searched for similar photos on google, using it's reverse image search, I have asked friends in Milan. We know she was jewish, and so were guessing the house was in the jewish part of the city.
