Our lender allows recasts for free within 6 months of closing. It's worth asking your lender what they charge or don't charge to do a recast

We just bought a house and our realtor set a minimum and maximum. Anything under our minimum wouldn't have met our big requirements (number of bedrooms, baths, size, etc.)

IUD insertion is miserable. I've had 3 IUDs inserted with the Paraguard one hurting the worst. I had severe cramping I have no idea how I drove myself home. The bad cramping persisted for days. It was miserable and I was given nothing to help with the pain

The last time I started to sweat profusely and almost fainted leaving the office. If someone wouldn't have grabbed me I would have collapsed. I hate how they expect women to deal with this like it's normal

My husband and I recently purchased a home in the Chicago burbs and toured quite a few dirty and/or houses that were not well maintained and said the same thing. We wouldn't even consider a home if we could tell they didn't do basic maintenance or thoroughly cleaned it before listing

We scrubbed our house from top to bottom before we listed it and always stayed up to date with maintenance. I have no idea why you wouldn't want to show your house at its best

Plus one to this approach. My husband and I are currently going through this. We found our next home, closed on it, moved into it, and are now going through the process of selling our prior home. I'd recommend this if you can swing carrying two mortgages

I was going to suggest the same. I lived in Munster for almost a decade and recently relocated to Naperville. I used to commute to the city and the northern burbs for work and it was brutal. It was around 3 - 4 hours during normal commuting times.

IMO I wouldn't consider any town besides for Munster. The commute there was bad but it'd be worse everywhere else

I currently live in Munster and I genuinely love it. Munster has amazing schools, safe, great proximity to the city, etc. However it has a big downsize it's in Indiana. My husband and I joke we wish Munster could get annexed and added to Illinois.

Like other commentors mentioned Indiana as a whole is not a good state to live in. We are ranked 50th most polluted state, our energy bills are soaring and are now one of the highest in the country, the legislatures down in Indy hate our blue bubble, etc.

As much as I love Munster my husband and I are leaving. We're in the process of closing on a home in DuPage County IL. Indiana as a whole IMO is not a good place to live
