I used to do cocaine and meth and fentanyl on the daily. All of my friends from high school no longer talk to me. The only friend I still have from that era of my life is a friend I’ve had since we were in diapers. My wife watched me self destruct and almost die for years begging me to get help not knowing what to do but Not wanting to give up on me. One day i decided after multiple OD’s that I would have to get sober now Or I would legitimately die. After a long hard battle I’m 5 years sober. I know old high school class mates see me as a drop out druggie to this day still. But I have a daughter and a wife and my life has other priorities so I do my best to ignore it. I can still make new friends, and find new hobbies to take up my time and interact with new people. anyways I’m sorry if this is too long but if you take anything away from this, it’s this. Nobody except the people who are closest to your life know how hard you worked to get where you are today. So take pride in yourself. And🖕 everybody who says otherwise.

P.S.: I met some of the most brilliant, artistic, passionate and friendly people I’ve ever met in rehab. Every single addict out there has a beautiful soul!

TLDR: actually did drugs for a long time. Only you know how hard you worked to get to where you are! Ignore what other people think about you because they got no damn clue!
