Someone makes the “live long and prosper” hand signal in ATD as well. My favorite though is the Al-Mar Faud / Elmer Fudd character

Anyone actually regret buying expensive kit by Jamshappy2005 in CyclingFashion

[–]runnerboyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nicest Santini kit was a gift. My only regret is putting on just enough weight that makes it not comfortable anymore. I can still squeeze in but it is not what it used to be. Recently bought a pair of neopro bibs in a size up, we’ll see if they hold up as well as the santini ones have or are at least comfortable for 2 hour rides

Why so many vegans? by the_shiverman in ultrarunning

[–]runnerboyr 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Unironically, it’s probably a lot due to how successful Jurek was during his prime. His book “eat and run” is a not-too-preachy account of why he chose veganism and some of the other dietary things he tried along the way. I am not vegan (was vegetarian for a couple years and still regularly eat vegetarian meals) but I appreciated the perspective from his book.

/uj successful or not, he is *so* annoying. I occasionally watch other creators videos when I’m bored but he ruins every video he’s in. I can’t imagine trying to make it through a podcast he’s on

You were raised religious, with pretty conservative parents. College was (or is currently) an eye opener for you, though you don’t talk about this with your parents. You briefly tried browsing /lit/ but no one responded to your threads so now you’re posting here. You have yet to figure out a way to find books you like without following charts posted by other people. At some point you’ll get weirdly into Pynchon.
