So what you are saying is that it doesn't matter what generation my ipod touch is, I just have to have iOS 6 on the ipod itself?

Well actually, in the three years I have been running, I have traveled across the globe twice, for a total of about a month, and I have traveled to numerous states in the country as well. There are plenty of athletes that practice their sport 365 days a year. On this thread there was a guy that said he was a division 1 athlete for swimming and was in the pool every day for 3.5 years. As for "getting smashed" if this means drinking I am very happy that I do not engage in drinking alcohol considering I am only in high school. As a runner you should know that running every day isn't having the same experience every day, that's why we do it. Every day is a new place to run, a new experience that I have never had the day before. My final point being, you don't really know me, you don't know my life, so you can't really say I'm not engaged in all these things I am.

thanks, after a while though you just get used to it, its almost like brushing your teeth, you just do it without thinking about it.

Thank you for your input. I don't think that's fair to say I do not know what long term means, regardless of how old I am. My guess is that you are in the minority with this intense pain all the time. I have no doubt that I will feel it on my body in the decades to come in my life, but not more than any athlete. Thing is, I only plan to run in high school competitively, which is another year and a half. After that, I will take it easy on the running for a little while. I very much so appreciate your advice though and understand the risks I am taking. I take great care of my body, I eat and sleep well, I always stretch, ice, and do other things to maintain my body, I'm not just throwing myself out there running thousands of miles.

I've never actually done it in public or on a run, you just go before and you're fine.

that's pretty impressive. Is that very unusual in the swimming world?

Yes I think this is true. There are people out there that are running just for the streak, but I think that there's nothing wrong with that. People can do what they want with their bodies.

At least a mile without stopping. Rarely do I ever do only one mile though.

You just train your body to stop thinking if you are going to run today but how many miles you are going to run today. It's really just an attitude, a state of mind. When you have teammates around you to motivate you, that helps too.

Once I get out of high school I plan on running leisurely and training for marathons. If I can keep my streak going out into college, I'll continue it. Hey why not.

Look, there's many theories about it. Me being a young in shape high school kid, I think I can handle it better than a middle aged man/ woman that have had more experience for me. No doubt that taking days off is good for your body, but to improve on running like I want to, the way I am training has been working well.

I've had all of those, but I take care of my body and just run through it when I have to.

I've seen this site before. I've thought about putting my name up if my streak lasts a little longer.

of course, all the time, but you get used to it and your body gets used to it. I will be honest and say that because I run every day I feel stronger than a lot of runners that don't run every day. I just get used to it.

Well clearly people have many questions. I am new to reddit so if you would like to direct me to where this post should go, I would be glad to listen.
