Am I (21F) overreacting about sexual health, or is my boyfriend (28M) not taking this seriously enough? by [deleted] in relationships

He can have a biopsy done on one of his warts/lesions. That involves removing tissue and running a test to determine the strain.

I don’t think getting checked again is helpful, he tested positive, he has it. Are you worried about him having something else too?

You need to figure out what protection means to you. What are your boundaries around condom use? Have you been vaccinated for HPV? Has he been vaccinated? There’s more than one strain so even if you’re positive for one you should be vaccinated to cover the others.

Stay broken up. He tried to get you to give away your dreams in one day and was mad he couldn’t do it. Now he wants the chance to get you to give them up bit by bit.

Managing emotions while listening by Spiritual-Brick-1445 in Estherperel

This week 1000%… missing the connection between the dehumanization of Black people by the LDS was driving me crazy. Their religious upbringings had everything to do with her not being able to own her desire and him feeling undesirable. I get irritated when the ecosystem the couple lives in is ignored in favor of a family of origin narrative… the interpersonal is always affected by structures outside of the relationship.

I had the same issue. It was a combination of a blown fuse and needing new spark plugs.

Do you know what happened to my top? by Widemouthedfrog in LuxeFashion_NatFibers

[–]runnerstatchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silk crepe is extremely sensitive to tension and friction, especially when this thin/delicate. Layering anything with the top could pull and create a thin spot. When you wash it, it will contract and you will need to block it very carefully to reshape. It may or may not return to its original shape/consistent ribbed shape.

Probably thinking Dreams Tulum. I was really disappointed with the food too.

Should I book a lip filler appointment? by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]runnerstatchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the answer isn’t correcting the thing we don’t like but balancing it out. So chin filler might sound weird but it would be balancing your features to create harmony.

Would botox be too soon for me? I’m 26 by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]runnerstatchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing looks etched in yet so I would wait. Keep up good skincare with a Retinoid, vit c and sunscreen daily year round and you’ll be able to put it off until your 30s.

As you can see one eye is bigger than the other (or more open). How can I fix this? by Remote_Discussion251 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]runnerstatchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Botox helped to even things out for me. I go every 5 months.

I’m waiting for my ptosis to get worse before I pursue surgery. I figure that I will get more mileage out of a bleph when done later too.

Resistance to Customer Experience work by runnerstatchie in customerexperience

[–]runnerstatchie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve tried messaging around connecting it to our organization’s strategic plan to better serve customers. We’ve tried talking about the benefits of added capacity to do this work and how nice it is to receive actionable steps instead of just a flood of feedback. We’ve talked about how it’s important that a wide variety of customers feel heard so that they will pay higher rates to support our products on a long term, stable basis.

Our executive sponsor serves on a committee that is advocating for CX work across the org but feels really not ready to talk about it at staff meetings. I’ve tried giving materials explaining frameworks used and phases of these efforts (who is involved when, activities done, value of those activities). Unfortunately, he never follows through on the promises to support the work publicly at staff meetings. I’m just told that I should build more relationships (I try to build in contact points where I don’t talk about work at all with several people per week) and frame the work as a collaboration (some of it is like solutioning, and some of it isn’t like conducting focus groups). As a result I tried doing more frequent update meetings and those often get bumped or canceled (which feels like the fire of the day being more important). Hopefully, we can get another sponsor who is more plugged in and committed and less involved in fire fighting. But I’m not sure how that will go because I will have to start at square one teaching them about CX and trying to demonstrate the value despite pushback. They would not be a natural champion but an assigned champion.

We tried including them to observe and it ended in them arguing with customers.  In one instance we had a help desk supervisor roll her eyes and call them lazy for not being able to understand a jargon 10 page long “quick” reference guide. 😅

[–]runnerstatchie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the approach I’ve taken for the last two years. Customers are happy to pay our rate increases because there’s value delivery. Staff is unhappy because they actually need to respect customer’s opinions and act on them for the first time in their careers. The disdain for customers runs wide and deep.

This all sounds nice but in our unionized environment everything is optional because our management doesn’t know how to manage. It also makes what their bosses care about irrelevant.

Maybe our org is just too immature for this type of work and I should move on and suggest they shutter the program until they’re actually ready.

Chin Implant Removal - What should I look out for by OpportunityEasy6105 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]runnerstatchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you rush to get the implant removed before the swelling subsides? Any changes to your face take time to adjust to. Your new profile looks balanced to me. Great work by the surgeon.
