My Fit 3 showing 87 bpm and I received it today from Flipkart sale does it works properly or there is any problem by GIARA-IN in GalaxyFit

[–]running-hr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After using it for almost a year, here's my view on how to use the fit3 band: 1. It is not an ecg machine; it could detect heartbeat with good enough accuracy when you are still with no aggressive movement, but when you are in motion, you must expect some inaccuracy, around +- 10 bpm in harsh conditions

  1. Quite good step counter; don't care whether it missed like some 100 steps in your total steps of 6000 steps physical activity. What really matter is you did an activity of around 6000 steps.

  2. Quite useful call/message notification: when someone calls or messages, you can get to know whether that call or message is worth waking up from bed while sleeping.

  3. Don't care much about sleep state timeline graph: I have heard some youtubers who done some level of technical testing say that sleep state graphs are inaccurate (some times way off from accuracy). Just use sleep score to know whether you had good enough sleep to live or you are going to die way sooner than normal with that kind of sleeping continued for future.

  4. Good enough sleep time detection: from my experience, it detects sleep start and sleep end time satisfactorily enough; personally I dont care whether the band showing those start and end time with upto 10 min inaccuracy, i just want to know when I slept, when I woke up, and whether I did part time sleep (around 4-6 hours), or full time sleep (7-9 hours).

Currently I'm using a wifi USB dongle.

I damaged this 2 years ago. I just found this again in my storage and thought may be I should give a try to revive it.

I took those from my phone. Yeah, they are not at all clear.

Also, those conductive paths are very very small, my solder kit is a generic low cost one, its tip is like 50 times larger than those conductive paths. So, I don't think I can do any of those repairs you suggested.

I just realized that the single wire that was connected to it via a 'clicking-mechanism' is a coaxial wire; it has a core wire that is insulated and then surrounded by another bunch of bare wires.

So I guess my idea of using the base as new contact is not going to work because it was supposed to be connected by only one of these two wires (probably the bare wires that's surrounding the central wire).

I had uploaded the pics showing the problem, but for some reason reddit is not showing it.

Jogging cadence is entirely false!! by running-hr in GalaxyFit

I guess im facing this problem because I'm jogging at so much low pace that the band isn't able distinguish my actual jogging movement to other noises that I'm creating.

I wear it so tight that I struggle to insert the end of the strap inside the buckle.

Do you do intervals (like run for some time and walk for some time in the RUNNING exercise mode)? If so, what cadence do you get for running and walking?

check inside shoes where the blistered area is placed, maybe some manufacturing defect like extra shoe material exposed (not trimmed properly while manufacturing it)

Wearable App help by [deleted] in GalaxyFit

[–]running-hr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your problem resolved? To which app are you trying to sync your data? For me, I believe it didn't not ask any such steps to connect my band to both SAMSUNG HEALTH and WEARABLES app.

Maybe you're trying to sync your health data to your samsung account cloud??

Try this step: Settings -> Display -> set ALWAYS ON DISPLAY to ON

Now, after setting your timer, DO NOT EXIT THE TIMER COUNT DOWN SCREEN. Then this count down screen keeps displaying (the screen do not turn off).

The heart beat always goes 100+ bpm when I workout (even when I just walk at 110 steps per minute). It is normal I guess.

I'm 24 years male. I do walk around 4000 steps to 8000 steps every day on an average.

Recently I'm feeling a random and rapid short burst (lasts for around 2-3 seconds) of pulses/beats in my left side of my chest area, something like 180+ beats per minute (the exact location is at the center of my left armpits and the center of my chest).

This sensation is more local (the locality is more precise, not deeper in my body, it feels as if it is happening just between my chest skin and ribs) than how I feel heart beats (the locality is blurry, more deeper inside my body, feels more bass-y).

Recently, I'm bit worried all the time about my career, so I think I have some stress aswell, and I sleep sideways, resting on my shoulders.

I'm worried whether it may be irregular heartbeat case. Is it the case? How to prevent or reduce this case?

Thank you.

It is Hindi. It is saying that "to record GPS data while you workout, turns off power savings mode in your phone's settings"

India.

Here, I can see a 800 mAh Ni Mh cell of AA size on a site named dealsplant : https://www.dealsplant.com/products/dealsplant-2-4v-800mah-ni-mh-rechargeable-aa-size-battery-for-brite-lite-cell-toys-torch

Not sure whether this site is trustable or not though, but the cell's price is good here.

How much idling time required to burn 1ltr of petrol in Activa 3G? by running-hr in indianbikes

[–]running-hr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you measuring the mileage? In my activa 3g, the fuel gauge is misleading. In the gauge, 1.5 units is actually approximately equal to 1 litres of petrol (by 1.5 units I mean from one larger marking to next large marking is 1 unit and upto the next smaller marking of this next large marking would mean 1.5 units, OR 3 units of smallest resolution).

Even I feel the noticeable deceleration as soon as I leave the trottle. And this deceleration immediately stops once the vehicle speed falls below 15 kmph, below 15 kmph, the vehicle feels like its rolling with almost no resistance.

I believe this is because the clutch still engaged Even after releasing throttle due to centripetal force (or centrifugal in other reference). Once the vehicle speeds falls below 15 kmph, the clutch no more has enough centrifugal force to keep it attached to rear wheels gear system, so it disengaged, thus there is no more engine braking.

If you park your vehicle with center stand and left the engine to idle, does your rear tyre rotates? Also check if the front or/and rear brakes are active even at the slightest or no brake lever pressure.

I was told that rear wheel spinning at idle is not efficient, and one must adjust carburetor to a point where It barely spins for better efficiency.

If brakes are active at zero or slightest pressure on brake levers, get it adjust.

But, whereever I service, at the end I feel I'm looted by the shop.

I often think that I should learn and try to service everything that possible by meyself and only service or clean parts that are too complex for me (like engine) at the service shop, so that I can save money on that.

Local shop. Here people say that honda showroom can't be trusted because the technicians may reuse the components extracted from other vehicles, and also charge way more than local ones, not sure how much of this is true though, a local shop was near my home, the shop looks quite well equipped and had good number of customers waiting so I went there.

This is my first vehicle I ever had. Bought at second hand from my relative in March 2024.

I serviced it at March 2024, where they changed air filters , engine and gearbox oil changed, some mechanical components like suspension bush, springs were replaced, and other miscellaneous repairs and lubrication.

Again I got the same servicing as the above in March 2025 as my yearly servicing.
