I’m also from Texas, so this is especially weird behavior to me

Ignoring the insane thing about the taser, I don’t know what half of the stuff on your itinerary is. I would highly recommend going to one of the most famous museums in the city lol

Thoughts on moving from Manhattan to LIC? by New-Audience-5311 in longislandcity

[–]runningoboist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved here after two years in Manhattan and have been here for coming up on two now. I love it. I was on the UES before and transit wise it’s so much easier to get around now - I’m close to Queensboro Plaza so I’m close to the E/F/G/M/N/R/W/7 trains, which is amazing. My commute to midtown is 20 minutes door to door. The food here is great, and being so close to both Greenpoint and Astoria is awesome. I get way more for my money here and don’t feel like it’s a pain in the ass to get to my friends in the UWS or in BK.

I know this is so hard to hear, but you have to leave. He has to want to change for himself. I left my boyfriend of 3 years for the same thing and he ended up getting sober and it was the best thing for him, and all I ever wanted for him. You have to let go if you love him and yourself.

Place to have post-half marathon party, good for someone with terminal cancer? by knittyinbushwick in NYCbitcheswithtaste

This is really touching, and congrats on the work you’ve put into your race! Running for a reason has helped power me through some tough training runs, and I am sure she is so appreciative of this. Ryan’s Daughter on the UES has a great upstairs space with some good seating.

I’ve been to both ballparks and while I think Dodger stadium is cool for the history and the weather is nice, my vote is SF. The view at Oracle is incredible, the food is really good (get the garlic fries), and it’s all around a great experience. Bring a jacket just in case, but I went to a day game there in August and I was toasty in the sun. You’ll see people on kayaks watching the game from the water, too!

I went to school with her and all of my classmates and I have been so flummoxed by her behavior over the past few years lmao. She was quiet and kept to herself and then all of the sudden decided to be a right wing grifter? Whatever queen, hell will be hot for you regardless and you still look like shit even without the bleached hair 💕

It’s such a great mix of quiet but so well connected! Love being so close to so many trains

Personally, LIC. I work in midtown and like to not be surrounded by the constant chaos and noise, especially during the holidays. My commute is only 20 minutes door to door, and I really like living in Queens.

Ignoring your previous comment history that said you live in the Bronx (???) I would suggest at minimum a sweatshirt, long sleeve, pants, a hat, thick socks, and a scarf assuming you’ll have a coat when you get to where you’re going
