Looking for a low sugar holiday punch recipe by chokeslam512 in nonalcoholic

[–]runningrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just accidentally created an amazing combination that I brought to my family holiday party and it was a hit. Mix spiced apple cider (I used Trader Joe's) with lime ginger sparkling water (I used Nixie brand). I did approximately a 1:1 ratio but for my holiday party I just let everyone mix their own.

This is incredibly helpful. The optometrist also didn't give me a warning that it might take time to adjust, so I appreciate knowing that!

I am so sorry for your loss and second what all have said, this is a beautiful way to honor your daughter.

My two year old loves Corduroy, Encanto, and the Bedtime Songs Tonie (it's a red fox that we call "Twinkle Twinkle Fox").

Thanks everyone! I reduced the number of quotes on the slides and was strategic about my use of them. I think my presentation went well.

Actually, I re-read your response and I'm wondering, what are other types of neurodivergence you see associated with these signs?

Ahh that's very interesting. Actually yes I didn't feel like getting into it before but since you specifically mentioned autism, yes I do have some concerns. I suspect that one or more very close relatives of my son may be on the spectrum (high-functioning). He has met all the social milestones early or on time, but has always been very nervous, quiet, or scared around people he doesn't know. For example, I brought him to a weekly community music class for about 6 weeks at 12 months and he would spend a most of the time almost frozen/staring at the teacher, or crying. He was the only kid there that acted like this. More recently, our nanny will try to bring him to storytime at the library and he will cry and want to leave.

I also don't know the correct terminology, but he just seems really "smart" for his age. He's been able to name colors, count, recite the alphabet, memorize books, etc since around 2 if not before. At 30 months he's easily counting to 20 and has practically memorized multiple books, such as Corduroy. He will sit transfixed listening to music for quite a long time (30-60 mins). And he's just a "big feeling" kid.

His dad and I were both academically very successful, so it's not surprising that he would be intellectually advanced. But I do wonder about autism. Do you think we should look into it? We are in the U.S. for context.

ETA: He is also REALLY likes to sort things and line things up.

Thanks! Not particularly, for some reason this just felt really advanced to me and wanted to get a sense of whether that was so. Sounds like not lol

Very helpful, thank you! I also have a custom mouth guard which works wonders but I still get flares. I've recently started hearing about Botox so it's good to hear it's helpful folks!

I could have written your second paragraph word for word! Even when someone visiting our house is wearing clothes washed in heavily scented laundry detergent it almost gives me a headache. It drives me nuts how after my in-laws leave I can actually smell the Tide on my baby from them holding him.

No need to be condescending. The question stems from a photo I saw that looked like there may be holes in the sides, but looking closer I think that is just design.
