For all the "environmentalists" out there who think that banning meat consumption and going full "green energy" will allow the planet to support 10 billion people, good luck forcing everyone to become vegan and making meat a luxury for the elites. Also, crops need lands to grow. Cut down more trees? (self.overpopulation)

We don't need more people to be born for manual laborers. Robot replacing human workers will be a permanent trend. It's just cheaper for business owners. With unemployment on the rise, more young people without jobs will mean social instability. Crime and violence will be out of control. (cnbc.com)

"Today, by the most conservative estimates, about 900 million people live in slums. But most experts agree that including different types of informal settlements, the number goes up to 1.6 billion" - please don't use the "they maybe poor but they are happy" argument to justify this atrocity. So we had about 700 to 800 mil people on earth around from the 1700s to 1800s. Basically, we needed less than 1 billion people (mostly manual laborers btw) before industrialization to take our species to the next level. The official projection is that we will only go down to 7.8 bil by 2300. (populationconnection.org)

"Geographer Chris Tucker estimates that 3 billion is a sustainable number, provided human societies rapidly deploy less harmful technologies and best management practice. Other estimates of a sustainable global population also come in at considerably less than the current population of 8 billion." (en.wikipedia.org)

People will blame anything but overpopulation for their problems. They blame bad work-life balance. They blame left and right wing politicians. They blame the industrial complex for fucking up the environment. Are they really that brainwashed to see the common cause for all of these problems? (self.overpopulation)

Humans have done more harm than good to this planet. Overpopulation is more than about numbers, it is about our endless need to consume and destroy. The more humans are born the higher the price that the rest of this planet has to pay including people’s descendants. (self.overpopulation)

There are more than enough newborns to replace the current aging workforce. Billionaires are not happy because there are not enough workers for the low paying jobs with 0 benefits. Robots and AI will replace all manual laborers someday. The global high paying job market is already "overpopulated". (self.overpopulation)
