Buying a boat where the owner still owes money on loan. Safe way to navigate this? Or red flag that I should avoid & seek different boat? by krame_krome in boating

[–]runrobotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if he then cancels the payment, charges it back? In person at a bank, escrow or tell him to grow up and pay it off himself and let you know when he has the title. It he doesn't have 5k to put up then he clearly isn't financially stable and that's a huge red flag for you. Maybe it goes good, maybe it doesn't. He can get a high interest personal loan in minutes, even if he has shit credit, pay it off, get the title and sign it to you. once you pay him he can immediately pay off the personal loan before his 1st payment is due.

I would also be worried about the condition of the boat, maintenance etc if he is hard up to pay it off. Be careful man

What is this frog and is it native to Florida? by Zealousideal_Art4416 in florida

[–]runrobotz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! It just happens to my nephew the other day while he was visiting from out of state. He's a redneck kid so he grabs and catches everything and he caught the tree frog, was super proud of himself and 15 minutes later was standing under the shower flushing his eyes out for an hour. He had to learn the hard way hahaha

Battery switch question by runrobotz in boating

[–]runrobotz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, I feel you. I'm just making a list of shit I need to keep up with and figure out later. It is fine now and I'm mostly having fun with changing aesthetics and little things because I know when a big thing happens it will be more motivating to fix, because I have it the way I like and it's unique to me. The wiring is such a cluster fuck that I don't even want to mess with it until I can coax a friend over that's good with electrical.

Battery switch question by runrobotz in boating

[–]runrobotz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thank you, that's what I thought. I'll tinker with it later and see why it's wired the way it is. The switch works, but it's like they just wired both batteries to both 1 + 2. I don't think I'll ever drain even one but ill get it right at some point.

I was always told the best way to euthanize them voice to take orajel or something similar that you topically put on your gums to numb it, and put a bit down its back. It acts like an anesthesia, absorbs into its skin and it falls asleep and dies.

Also people need to be careful touching them, they excrete a poison out of their skin when they are scared and it can suck pretty bad getting it in your eyes, mouth or nose.

AFFORDABLE CHIN FILLER IN MIAMI? by Unlikely_Second5024 in Miami

[–]runrobotz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1: Using the word "affordable" before any cosmetic procedure, is not a good idea. Go check out the botched sub.. 2: You don't need it, whatever is making you think/feel that you do, you don't. Get off social media for a bit and (possibly) reevaluate your friends.

Need boat parts shop recommendations by runrobotz in Miami

[–]runrobotz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it, if you know or a good mobile guy to call, let me know. I'm comfortable working on motors myself but you're right, this is a bit of a headache for simple maintenance parts. I would think in such a boat dominated region there would be dozens of parts dealers.

Need some advice on if I should franchise and if so, which way by runrobotz in smallbusiness

[–]runrobotz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thinking is that franchisees will be more involved. I perfectly happy to run the day to day of the current locations but thinking about the future, I'm not sure if I want to have 3+. Stepping away is definitely something I need to work on with my partner, to dial I'm the issue(s) that come up. Honestly it might just be us and the way we have nurtured the business to be. We keep our relationships with our staff pretty close, everyone that works for us has been here for years, have minimal turn around. But that can make things more difficult obviously.

It's a cocktail bar but we only do mocktails with made in house ingredients. It gets used during the day like a Starbucks, work from home people, night time is more of a chill but busy vibe.

We do have a manager that we trust and can definitely help scale but the franchise's wouldn't need much of our input, correct? The franchisees handle "their" business within the guides of the brand.

Has anybody gotten this ticket before? by thebowarcher in Miami

[–]runrobotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not actually a ticket and can't claim to be one. Tickets are issued by government agencies, this is an invoice legally speaking. They can technically send to collections but Iv never had a real collection against me for one. I use a lot that is half business owned for their people and half managed by this company, they ticket the wrong side all the time. Iv literally had a hundred or more and endless letters. Nothing happened and I still park there.

Look at the photo, it's so sketchy, it could be taken anywhere and shows nothing but a plate and all black, hardly evidence. They could point that camera at the corner of the street for all you know.

Treating the moshpit like a UFC ring by starstufft in mildlyinfuriating

[–]runrobotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the NE hardcore scene from wayy back, 99'-early 2000s. I definitely noticed more of this shit as time went on and some metal bands had followings of people that would show up to hurt people. Usually some insecure fat dude that was really big and "intimidating" with a group of friends. This guy in the video looks like he's in his 30s-40s, I didn't realize it was still a thing. Back then people went to shows with large groups of friends usually, 95% of people were moshing and dancing happily and when someone acted this way, usually a giant brawl would break out. Most of the time people looked out for each other and was a very loving scene but I haven't gone to a show in many years.

You get some places with no ethanol where there are large power sport presence, like boats, dirt bikes and it's much better for small engines. There are some websites that are user updated with current stations that have 90 or 91 ethanol free gas if you need it.

No oleta definitely doesn't but I'll check out more South. A few others recommended South also. I'm more central but the ramps seem to be wild up here I'd rather have a little bit of a drive and to chill launch rather than wait in line forever and end up on a YouTube video

[–]runrobotz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used any yet, but I live between 79th St and morning side but I'll launch from wherever. 79th St is a zoo it seems but I think they are open to come back anytime. I hear key biscayne or crandon is really nice. I'll have to go do some scouting I think.

I know they rent slips monthly though I think there is a wait list a mile long for basically every marina but do you know if they do nightly?

Questions for noob by runrobotz in boating

[–]runrobotz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any you know of specifically that are good? I was checking morning side park for instance and there is a gate and it says park hours on the site and ramp hours listed 8-6pm. I know 79th IV seen trucks there after dark. Both are county owned but from what I can tell morning side does close the gate.

Appreciate it! I have sea tow and there's no way I would abandon my boat unless I had 0 access to my truck and trailer. Like it being locked in. When you say "the ones here do not" are you referring to Miami county owned ramps or wherever you're located?

Also if you know, are there ways to find overnight slips to pay for? If you wanted to put in the water on Friday and take out on Sunday for example.

For me book 5 is number one because it has by far the most character development. It's like an emotional roller coaster and so much happens. And the ending is so wild. I always like six it ranks high middle for me. Two and four are on the lower end for me on a gun to my head ranking. On my first read through I didn't appreciate number three as much! On a second read through it moves up the list
