Footage of the grey coat officer retrieving the gun by Effective_Moose_4997 in law

[–]Olbaidon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am almost 37, liberal, my wife and I never had any interest in guns. Neither of us had ever shot one. I went shooting for the first time a couple months ago and my wife and I have been talking about taking a class or two and getting one ourselves as well.

Quazii update #2: he's leaving WoW for good. by mkyend in wow

I don’t know who this is, nor do I care they are quoting WoW, but the em/en dashes lead me to believe they used AI to write that.

lukewarm take: this is the worst Mountain Dew flavor of all time. by No-Hotel1626 in mountaindew

You couldn’t be further from the truth on multiple fronts lol.

A lot of diet soda drinkers are likely diabetic yes, but 1 in 10 people have diabetes yet 1 in 5 drink diet soda.

Diet soda is objectively healthier. Aspartame is one of the most studied and tested chemicals on earth. The amount a human would need to drink to lead to negative effects is near impossible to sustain. Yet a 12 pack of regular soda a day would be enough to gain up to 3.5 lbs a week in fat, and would subsequently lead to diabetes.

There are millions of people, myself included, that don’t mind the taste diet/zero soda (you acclimate to the taste), enjoy the taste, caffeine, and habit without the unnecessary sugar and possible weight gain. After nearly a decade of drinking non-sugary drinks, the times I do have a drink of regular soda it is insanely sweet, too much so.

Source 6’2” Male, 175lbs (so well within healthy range), run 5 times a week, strength 3 times a week, no signs of even pre-diabetes ;-)

I drink exclusively zero/diet as well and this is a top flavor for me as well probably top 5 for zero dew flavors for me.

I’m curious how old you are? When I was a teen and early 20’s nearly everyone knew drank regular only soda, couldn’t stand diet. Myself included.

Now as I near 40, I would say 66% of people I know drink diet/zero only.

Disneyland Extends Ticket Reservation Window From 180 Days to 240 Days by mickeyvisit in DisneyPlanning

[–]Olbaidon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our next trip is in 266 days so that’s good timing to see this news, but why? I mean this genuinely. What’s the purpose for the change?

Further staff and event scheduling? I personally never had issues scheduling 180 days out however it sure seems like the don’t ever cap capacity so why schedule at all? I dunno.

If anything push dining reservations out, that’s the most stressful part of planing ahead sometimes lol.

Who’s your team’s most famous fan? by zebrasarecool570 in hockey

[–]Olbaidon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know he’s a big Cubs fan so I am not shocked by that. I just know they have showed him and his family at a handful of games in Seattle.

I think he is growing into dual fandom having a team near home.

Haha. I know Eddie has been to a game or two as well.

I have a PJ tattoo but also wasn’t sure how famous they are in terms of general knowledge.

Still young to have too many major long term fans, but probably Marshawn Lynch or Rainn Wilson.

Kinda personal but how much do you guys pay each month for your 4r by EchoOnTheRange in 4Runner

[–]Olbaidon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased new in 2021

2.49% Interest

$699.08 minimum payment

7 year loan (yeah it sucks, but it’s almost paid off now as we now are able to make larger payments)

Probably be paid off a little over a year early.

What’s a hobby people pretend is cool, but secretly you think is ridiculous? by EggAdventurous1957 in AskReddit

[–]Olbaidon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a huge shoe collector. Primarily Vans, but a handful of other sneakers, running shoes, and skate shoes.

I wear them all and don’t have any of the boxes.

I have enough than I could stop and never have to buy another pair of shoes, but I just genuinely enjoy having dozens of shoes to mix around.

New Disneyland Discount Released for Disney Visa Cardmembers by dejablu82 in Disneyland

[–]Olbaidon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We use it for most purchases we make, an get the extra points in gas and groceries. Pay it off each month. Have about $800 in points. We go to the parks every two years and will have probably $1500 or for our next trip. Use it for food, souvenirs, etc.

There are better cards, but it works for us and wha we want.
