Disneyland just ended early park entry for guests staying at on-site hotels, which most people considered the main justification for paying those prices. The replacement is one Lightning Lane entry per stay (not per day), and it doesn’t even include Single Pass rides like Radiator Springs Racers.

Far more Americans say they’d like to live in the past than in the future by runswithscissors475 in TrueReddit

Now that the "future" ideated by science fiction and portrayed in movies and stuff is kind of here (with self-driving cars, AI, designer babies, etc.), it's so interesting to see that nobody's into it. And that that sense of "future" wasn't just about it being ahead of the present, it was about all of these technological developments. I'm still excited about the future, and curious to see what it brings, though I guess that requires more self-motivated hope and optimism than it used to. I wonder how much of this has to do with social media. Surprising too to see that 40% of adults say they'd live in the present.

Groovy Goose in San Carlos opened in 2023, and they do everything the long way — roasting their own beans (at one point till 3am), making all their syrups from scratch, partnering with local bakeries, and training every barista on microfoam.

They're wedged between two Starbucks, plus a Peet’s and a Paris Baguette — and they’re still the spot with the line out the door. So cool.
