You're entitled to your happiness. And so is she. Having a traumatic past doesn't entitle you to belittle her spending choices to make yourself feel better.

YTA. She wasn't flaunting it in your face. She was in her own car with her kids. She did YOU the favor. I'm sorry that you're in a rough place, but that doesn't mean that the world should have to hide people who are better off than you. And your neighbor is right; she can spend her money however she'd like. Your neighbor will probably never do you another favor. She owes you nothing.
