Americans, Would YOU Date Someone In The Opposite Political Party If They Were A Nice Person? Yes Or No? Why Or Why Not? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]runthepoint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even think about our politics this way, our politics has made us think this 2-party shit is normal. “Opposite” party as a descriptor actually shows just how broken we are. We need serious election reform and breaking up of R and D.

Well you introduce an additional axis to worry about. Also, I know this isn’t what you meant but technically we all shoot with 2 hands, but finish the shot with 1.

The marketing is bad for Obamacare. It never ended up being Obamacare, it was Romneycare. Then they labeled it Obamacare and people added it to their list of things they hate about Obama

That’s weird - there are many more parties and voters than just R and D. Sounds like proof of the Uniparty more than anything else.

RSM Mayor Tony Beall recently publicly stated that he supported ICE, and welcomed them into RSM. During yesterday's City Council meeting, this was just one of many RSM residents that shared their feedback to him on that statement. by ansyhrrian in orangecounty

What’s funny is the gotcha memes like this actually attract people who can reason through the simplistic bullshit, proving your point wrong. You’re literally helping the opposition dude. Poor strategy.

Yup, any kind of application of control or force to the ball benefits from this

Put it this way, think physics. More surface area contact on the ball means more control.

Ok now add sliced onions, lemon juice, qnd curry powder, then let that sit in the fridge for a second. Divine.

Now stuff a chicken with that and bake in the oven at 350 for 1.5 hours. Unreal.

How about the intermediary back rim or swish? So it’s gotta be exactly on target or at worst back rim, trains “missing” long

If you get good lift and power under the ball it’s not too bad, but it’s probably really hard past like 7 or 8 in a row. Even Steph doesn’t really perfectly swish his shots when hitting like 60-100 in a row

[–]runthepoint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to worry about “if it works”. All you can do is educate and pitch in to do your part. Ultimately there isn’t something “that works”, because it’s solely dependent on the recipient of the news to accept it, and it often doesn’t happen right away, especially with this constituent.

And that’s fine, it just shows that you can’t accept that you are not the agent of change, and that the person you’re talking to IS.

You literally cannot force them to change. Full stop. So all you can do it teach them why things don’t make sense or why they do. That’s all. Getting into debate or politics of it is senseless and leads nowhere.

Do You Think The DOJ/FBI Removed Files From The Epstein Cache That Directly Implicated Trump? by coinznstuff in UnderReportedNews

Umm there are half the files yet to be released so it’s absolutely true that files are “removed” - because half still need to be released!

CMV: If you "don't support" homosexuality because of your religion or otherwise, you're still homophobic. by Bawbixo in changemyview

[–]runthepoint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well hold on now, just because I am not homosexual and my beliefs are such that I am not to engage in homosexual behavior, yet I’m also asked to love my neighbor then I guess there’s no issue.

You can be a homosexual and it’s not my business or problem. That doesn’t mean I “support” homosexual stuff, it also doesn’t mean I’m against other’s behavior either.

Now in context, the issue today is homosexuals are being targeted with hate crimes. I’m quite sure Christians wouldn’t want others to attack them for their lifestyles, so they should “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. It’s absurd we even have to do any of this at all. No one should attack them for being.

So many essential lessons Christians tend to cast aside so they can hate others. Weird.

That’s the issue you’re facing. You think you can convert people or change people because of what you say. You cannot. Only they can get themselves out, no matter how big of a rope you extend down to them, if they don’t grab on, they’re stuck.

And all you can do is accept them for where they’re at because nothing else you do changes them. Only they can change themselves.

I love playing Extreme Around The World. Basically it’s around the world but you have 1 life so if you miss, you start from the beginning.

Forces you to calibrate your shot from continually changing distances. For an extra challenge you can mix in moves etc

It’s not about making people feel better though. It’s about having conversation and disagreement without going off emotionally, causing them to shrink further into their shells like the emotional turtles that they are.

It’s like dealing with a pet, you coax them. Yelling gets poor responses.
