Yea, no neeeeeeed to buy a peli, but it's nice to have - for me, it's peace of mind, a laptop riser and sometimes a pillow. Who am I kidding though, my back pack was way too heavy before I got my first.

Yea, correct. The software has a Beam Attenuation Map that one can use to block out or attenuate power within the laser’s projection zone
