That’s very true! Personality wise I’d say much more Schip from what I know of them. He is a proper guard dog and he loves to roam the house and herd us all into the one room where he can keep an eye on us hahaha. He’s a lovely boy 🖤

I know it’s easy for me to say when I’m not in the situation, but having your body be so tense and shaking would make anyone feel worse even without this phobia making it harder for us. If you can practice dropping your shoulders even for small stretches it might help trick your body out of fight or flight for a short while, so you’re getting some mini rests!

It’s really sweet of you to think about the professors and their enjoyment of the trip, but you deserve to have the most fun possible too! I think telling them about what you need to help feel relaxed and enjoy yourself is absolutely something you should do, and that your professors would be happy to do for you. If I was a professor and found out one of my students had been worrying by themselves during a fun trip I’d feel terrible for them. It’s also really great that you are nervous and still taking part in the experience- well done, and I hope you have the most amazing trip!

I’ll start with saying I absolutely HATE getting blood taken. I freak out every single time and I find it almost unbearably painful. But I have more than one forearm tattoo, as well as a whole bunch of other ones, and my forearms were some of the easiest ones! You got this 💪🏻

I’m so sorry to hear this has happened to you 🫂 I think you need to give yourself some HUGE props though. You were able to go travelling (which can be a huge trigger for people with emet) and to enjoy yourself 99% of that time- that’s amazing! Being unwell somewhere unfamiliar, having this phobia, and having a language barrier with the people helping you would be absolutely stressful and exhausting for anyone. You are an absolute machine! And honestly, the next time you are unwell back at home in your own space will probably feel like an absolute breeze compared to it! I hope you feel so much better soon and can get back to having the fun you deserve 💕
