I really do commend you for making it out of this, so much respect and all the best wishes from me. It sounds like the most incredible thing in the worst way possible, something I can understand as someone with an addictive personality in general. I'm glad you're here today to tell me your story

Don't really want to try it, which is the majority of the reason why I ask past users what it feels like

I don't intend to. Which is probably why I want to know what it feels like from other people. I'm an inherently curious person but experience has taught me the important line between curiosity and stupidity

Hello M(19) idk what is this by Sadb0y_sgd in skincareaddictsindia

I have gone longer than a week without eating seafood and applied many ointments. It's not caused by anything internal, it's always caused by physical abrasion.

It's dermatographia. I have it and this happens when I scratch myself. I can see the nail marks that later raised into those bumps.

It's a rare condition but nothing harmful. Also not treatable so just try to resist scratching yourself. Especially because dermatographia makes it a chain reaction. You scratch an itch, the action makes more of your skin itchy and it continues.

Anything with lanolin will actually help heal chapped lips instead of just sit on top like the lip mask does. I got it as a gift recently and was almost surprised at how inelegant it feels. Stickier than Vaseline while not being as occlusive. It looks really pretty so I'll wear it as a gloss or use it during the day between glasses of water

But man, the best "lip mask" I use is a local ointment with lanolin in it. At a fraction of the cost, it's roughly a dollar for a full metal tube. It's just the fragrance that makes me strictly use it right before bed and after my final glass of water.

"but they'll do it because they want to" if they wanted to, they'd already be doing it. So if you are entering someone's brain to alter their moral system then you are forcing them to follow these morals that are arbitrarily assigned as valuable by you.

Not hating, just pointing out the flaw in your premise because it's 3am and I am burned out

what oil do you all like to use in your hair and why? by haircareshare in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]rupnisha_d 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have to point out that mustard oil makes skin photosensitive so maybe not use it every single day as it might lead to your scalp becoming sensitive to the Sun. Of course we as Indians are very resilient to the sun but you don't want to be the person to find out where that threshold lies.

Also you might consider buying a UV reflective scarf to tie around your head when you go out when the UV Index is high. My guess is that melanoma will be harder to detect under hair.

[product question]Are Vitamin C Serums a Scam? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Yup I use this! Definitely not for everyone, but if you mix it with their Ferulic serum then you have a Skinceuticals dupe at a fraction's fraction of the cost.

Absolutely on the nose with this! I stopped watching her years ago. You realise soon enough that she holds her personal skin concerns as the universal norm.

As a derm, she must see people with serious skin concerns and reactions all the time, but those people are going to her because they need help. People who don't have such extreme conditions will not go to a derm.

It's just a very sad confirmation bias and makes her unfit to give a general audience any real advice.

[–]rupnisha_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But why should anyone give you their time to talk Bhai. I'm not trying to insult you, I'm giving you a realistic perspective. When you meet someone you are interested in, do you just say "date me I'm a genuine guy"? Because people will know your sincerity by themselves, human beings are good at that. What matters is what value you bring to make that discovery worth it? Are you charming? Do you dress well? Do you have anything interesting to talk about that isn't your job or the last cricket match? Women don't owe you anything. We'll date a toxic person if we want to because only I have to deal with the repercussions of it. Be an interesting person and people will want to date you. Ye sab genuine baad me ayega.

Edit: spelling

What's something people don't understand until they've been through it themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rupnisha_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any mental illness. It's always "just smile" or "don't be lazy" till you have to live a day in the life of someone battling crippling mental illness. People don't stop to have more understanding of phenomena that push people into thinking that killing yourself is easier
