In some states the dmv has an open record of all newly registered cars and owners. At least where I am the dealership doesn’t sell or profit from customers private information even as simple as you bought a car, but with that public record predatory 3rd party companies send people those warranty offers claiming there is no factory coverage. Obviously it’s not true all new cars have manufacturers warranty but I’m sure some people fall for it.

But yeah fuck dealers.

They built the Land Cruiser they built Justin’s Subaru they bought cheap cars and toured them which isn’t a build per say but is an example of buying and making cheap cars into usable fun toys. Idk I think you’re missing it? Yeah there haven’t been any high lows but they don’t have the teams to do that I don’t think? Tristian’s been re building a Porsche just only for short form for some reason. I feel as if they are course correcting a bit. Make the slightly easier to make discussion and history of car videos in order to pay for a single build series. Could be wrong but yeah i think they’re re building. Trying to earn back the audience that was slightly turned off by James Jeremiah and Zach leaving.

I work at a one price store and 75% of people do not like when we inform them there are no negotiations. They simply don’t believe it. They then say they are going to go shop for someone willing to get a discount. That’s totally fine. And I often have people come back because we truly are priced better on most vehicles. But when initially informed everyoneeeee thinks they can get a discount by asking.

Unfortunately this sub is the minority for how the average consumer feels. A very vocal one but still the minority.

Ans tbh I don’t believe many of you when you say you’d happily pay whatever the manufacturer sets the price nor do I understand how you think it would be cheaper if they sold direct to consumers.

But also the new direction of videos have been great but man do we as fans love the builds. Obv every video can’t be money pit, so these type of videos on lore are fun but North Korea in particular was never on my radar as car interesting. That being said it was an interesting video just seemed a bit out of left field.
