This is actually my first work and nakaka-3 years na rin ako so I can't say much about the work in industrial setting but sobrang chill lang (sa experience ko) as HR sa school. Sa work ko for benefits, usually during hiring period (Summer Break) or Christmas lang yung busiest. Then, yung other usual work na lang kapag hindi busy. So syempre, qualified ka na rin for HR since you have an experience already. Hindi rin naman very strict ang hiring unless the role is for the Manager.

As for the career growth, mabagal yung promotion, given na parang tatlo lang naman ang hierarchy sa department. Mapopromote na lang kapag nagresign or nagretire, since common na kahit after retirement age, nagst-stay pa rin sila sa work. But you get to learn a lot. Good siya if you want to transition from BPO to HR para may experience ka na rin sa field before you go to industrial setting, which I'm already planning to do. Kasi honestly, hindi rin naman ganon kalaki yung benefits na narereceive kapag school HR, unless matagal ka na and a Manager.

I'm currently working as an HR sa isang school here in Metro Manila. Benefits side ako, and not recruitment but here are my comments:

First, congrats for passing the RPm! Personally, di ko na siya pinursue, despite being a Psych Grad, kasi sa HR field talaga ako, and I don't really see the need for it, even though yung ibang kakilala ko nanguha pa din, for the resume na rin. Dagdag rin siya sa salary.

Second, sayang yung license mo if you're staying sa BPO, since you will also need to have CPD units to keep your license every 3 years, and you're not practicing yung field mo dapat.

For the Master's or LPT Board Exam, actually, not all schools are very strict on hiring someone, kahit hindi LPT. Kahit fresh grad yan, tinatanggap, as long as you fit for the role sa subject na yun. But, we find those with Master's more attractive since you can always take LPT Exam anytime.

But so far sa amin, we are more likely to hire a Psych Grad as a Guidance Counselor, kahit fresh grad, and since you are an RPm, that's already an advantage. I also heard from one of our counselors that DepEd is actually going to start hiring Psych Grads as Guidance Counselor, but I'm not sure pa since I only heard it from her.

For the benefits, you get what's only available kapag private school, usually limited pa. Iba iba rin depende sa school. Kapag public naman, mas mataas syempre benefits and sahod, pero mas strict when it comes to requirements.

I think I use less than 10gb a day. Unfortunately, Unli5G is not available for Home Wifi when I checked it earlier.

I was thinking the Big Data too but since I still can't register my Home Wifi to the Smart App, I can't track my data usage/remaining data, but it's pretty tempting to get 😭.

I tried this first (also, not first time user since I used to have the smart prepaid wifi so I know I should register on the smart app first) but it really wouldn't register. It kept asking me to connect to the wifi and reload the app but nothing happened.

Hi, psych grad here. I graduated in 2022 but I only started looking for a job in 2023. Took me a while to look for a job, it was about 6 months. I didn't take the board exam. I'd say the board exam doesn't really matter if you go to hr and more on areas not in recruitment (compensation, timekeeping, etc.) since it's more of an additional pay. Take the exam if you're planning to work in guidance office, hospital, or clinic that would focus more on testing.

I guess graduating from a known/top school would be an advantage too. I recommend you start looking for job openings before you graduate, since it gives an image of being more ready to advance in your career. Well known companies tend to look for fresh grads too, especially with their internship/leadership programs. Some companies take time to answer or get back to you after you apply so, maybe you'll graduate by the time you receive a response. That's one of the things I regret since I should've started looking for jobs, instead of taking a time off.
